How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The mechanical ventilation was not completely silent and could not be turned off, but was not really a problem. We also used the sofa bed and there was not a lot of space left around it, but we didn't want to bother folding it every day. These were really minor problems and we did enjoy the stay.
Nice duplex in nice neighborhood. Very calm street and close to the city center. Getting the keys was simple, we were sent a message by the lady who came with the keys, she was waiting for us in the apartment, and showed us around. We liked that the apartment had two levels and a lot of windows. Felt like home.

I didn’t realize it would be a spiral stair case which was a bit more of a challenge. Other than this the apt was very comfortable.
The location to attractions was very good within waking distance to all conveniences. I really appreciated the abundance of natural light in the apt. On a quiet street even with a school nearby it was quiet.

It was a bit difficult to warm up the apartment especially the bathroom, that remained pretty cold even after heating up the place for 2 days.
The flat is beautiful, very well equipped. It takes only 15 minutes walking to get to the train station and 5 minutes to the heart of the city center. We had a lovely time.

This very nice place let me feel like at home, enjoying the elegant design as the modern equipment! The appartment is just 5 minutes walks from many amenities. The host supports me at my very late arrival. My stay in Nantes was intense of meeting but this cozy apartment pulls my down once back every day.

Location is great in a very quiet area. The host was most welcoming and helpful. The flat is elegant, very well equipped, comfortable and clean. You have everything you need for a short stay.

Perfect location to Nantes. Very nice decoration. Kitchen very well equiped and even with some basic groceries. Easy comunication with hoster.

The cleaning wasn't great and there was no shower gel available.
Great location, near everything but still in a quiet street, even tough there was a school just across. Everything is well decorated and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed. The apartment is located on the 3th floor without lift but it's okay. Nicolas meet us to give us the key on the first and last day and he was always ready to help us.

the stairs only, it was on the third floor and there is no asansor

I can't think of anything.
We liked everything about this apartment. It was ideally located for exploring the city. Very near the cathedral and castle. Easy to walk to the shops and return to the apartment to relax. My daughter particularly appreciated having access to Netflix on the tv.

Three story walk up and I didn’t know the bathroom was on the second level, but should have guessed it was near the bedroom. We had three guests so one had to use the stairs at night and the rope railing is iffy. Also don’t leave us an empty Champagne bottle in the ice container, leave a full one 😂
Clean, quiet, close to many quaint restaurants and shops. Coffee pods we nice for breakfast!

A really nice and spacious apartment within walking distance of the train station and city centre but located in a nice quiet part of town. Apartment was over two levels and very spacious and had everything you would need. Would have been happy using it as a base for a longer stay (especially with the benefit of a washing machine in the apartment) Host was very good especially as we went to the wrong door originally as we needed 10a and not 10!! One point to note is that the apartment is on the 3rd floor and no lift so could be an issue for someone with mobility issues. Would certainly use this place again when next in Nantes.
