The hotel is very cozy! We had dinner, and the food was delicious, really good! The staff was friendly and nice. The hotel is close to the center and the train station.

The pillows were very soft, which we were not used to. Some of the decor/decoration looked a little old, but that's such a minor complaint. It did not affect our comfort level or enjoyment of our stay.

The hotel is located about a 10 minute walk from the train station, and is just outside the city walls (about 10 minutes walk to the main city centre). It was spotlessly clean and we were welcomed by the owner even though we'd arrived earlier than expected. Breakfast was generous and delicious, and the room was very comfortable. It even had enough room to have two chairs, which isn't always common in double rooms! The room was very quiet, and we had a delicious dinner in their restaurant too. The bathroom was a decent size and the shower was good (good pressure and water temperature). Our host also recommended the Night Watchman tour, which I've now done twice and also cannot recommend highly enough.

Our stay was excellent, our room was ample and spotlessly clean. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and you should try at least once the traditional dishes served at the hotel's restaurant, they are truly good.

If i really had to pick something - i was a little surprised by the red hand towels... They were clean but because we are so used to white ones, i was a little paranoid about being unable to check how clean red towels would be... But this is me being really nit picky... Beds were not that comfortable but most hotel beds are not so no surprise there. Not a deal breaker for a weekend stay.

Conveniently located right next to a parking lot and with a few spaces of its own, this hotel is just outside the old wall. Super short walk right into the heart of Rothenburg. The family room had a queen bed, twin bed and pull out bed which was perfect for our family of four! Nice bathroom with double sinks so everyone could get ready in the morning. Breakfast was delicious! Cold cuts, fresh bread, soft boiled eggs, jams, cereals and yogurt. Plenty of food and hot coffee. Staff was super nice and helpful. All in all a great place to stay.

As the Hotel Gasthof Rödertor had a technical problem with hot water, they provided a other hotel, The Merian Hotel, almost 500 m far away in the same street. Although the distance, the staff care with guests worth it! I recommend!

Lovely lady runs the hotel. We ate in the restaurant (book when you arrive if it is in busy season) which was excellent local food. Breakfast was good as well. Room was warm and comfortable. Great value. location is just at the main gateway into old town, a few minutes from central square.
