Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomRoom was a bit small but no real inconvenience.
Location was great for skiing straight onto the slopes. Atmosphere was great for the apres bar and then nice and relaxing in the evenings. We took the half board option and the food was excellent with different meals every night and the staff were always smiling and friendly.

SwedenRoom was a bit small.
The location of the hotel is superb, in terms of a ski hotel it could hardly be better. Classic Scandinavian mountain lodge with a great restaurant and bar. Very friendly, attentive and helpful staff. Despite it's situation a long uphill from the town, it's easily accessible with out a car thanks to the old tram that's free for everybody with a ski pass as well as the hotels guests. And you can basically get on the lift straight outside the front door.

NetherlandsBoth the slope from the hotel down to the valley as well as the slope to the hotel from up higher were red slopes. No problem if you are an avid skier, but more challenging if you are at a beginner level.
Superb location amidst the slopes. You could step out the hotel and ski right down to the valley or take a lift up to several other slopes. Very pittoresque sights too. Breakfast was excellent and the staff very friendly. Very nice sauna and hottub opportunities are included in the price.

Room was quite small, but clean and cozy. Breakfast was more than satisfactory even though it was limited because the season has not started yet. Parking just in front of the hotel. Contactless check in without any problems.

Ukrainesome floors are only partially accessible via elevator (need to take some stairs as well), hotel is quite crowded and loud during apres-ski hours (but it's only few hours, fun and not late)
excellent location, exceptionally welcoming and helpful staff. convenient ski storage room with boot dryers. very good breakfast. sauna and outdoor bathtubs - perfect relaxation after skiing. storage and change room with a shower - super helpful to use if you arrive early and/or depart late (e.g. night train) - you can ski full day

Isle of Mandidn’t like the steepness of the ladders in the rooms , poor access may have been explained better in the rooms description . also the boot room is poorly organised as we hade our boots taken away by mistake on the last day which meant we had to go back to resort to have skis reset … had we been in formed that ski / boots hire was available from the hotel would have helped .

United KingdomThe fact that the hotel was essentially closed, which we didn’t know when booking. We chose a hotel on the mountainside for the views and the quiet. Then we were told that the restaurant and bar were closed and there would be no-one in reception either, except in the mornings. Without a car, this made it very difficult and inconvenient.
Breakfast was great, but it would have been good if it had started earlier. The hotel itself was fabulous, with a lot of character. Pity we couldn’t eat or drink there!

SwedenWe didn't have a car so unfortunately because the funnicular that transports you between town and the hotel operates at very limited times. (10:00 and 16:00), you need to be prepared to walk down and back up if you plan on having supper in town. If you need to organise transport. It costs approximately 130 kr for a taxi for the trip. The rooms are a bit dated. We also booked a room with a queen-sized bed, but got two single beds put together.
Friendly and helpful receptionists. Continental breakfast was nice and supper was good. Better value than some of the restuarants in town. Enjoyed the use of the sauna and pool. Location was beautifully situated further up from the town with nice views of the river.

NetherlandsThe room was very small, but all we were doing there was sleeping so that didn’t matter really.
Apart from the amazing location on the mountain, easily the best part of the hotel were the warm, welcoming and helpful staff. They were able to help us with our ski pass, recommend local restaurants as well as find the best places to go skiing. even before our arrival they helped us to book the airport transfer and suggested where to hire our ski equipment. Being able book out the hot tub was great, with drinks being served while relaxing the muscles after a day on the slopes.
