Shower cubicle is dirty need to be cleaned -including the tiles- to use bleach I did have much of the bleach - hence would have cleaned it myself.

The building is a bit run down, needs a lot of talc. My shower outlet was blocked, I couldn’t watch many tv programmes as the images were scrambled and the mattress needs replacing - it’s incredibly uncomfortable. The en-suite is cramped( the loo should face the other way fir better keg room especially if your tall and the floor slopes as does the floor in the bedroom

There was no breakfast and don’t know the area well enough to comment on the location.

Quite dated. Prices seem to change one weekend to the next. Seems to only book you in the family room.

The room was very very run down. Hot water in the shower quickly ran out. No plug in the basin. Toilet roll not replaced. Parking was rather hit and miss. We were told to park outside blocking in another car. But that car belonged to other guests who were leaving in the morning. Fortunately they managed to catch us before we went out for the day. Curtains in the room were very thin. No net curtains, so - being on the ground floor - curtains had to remain permanently closed. Incessant beeping noise from reception was audible all night long.

Convenient location within walking distance of the city centre. Chap on reception was friendly enough.

The shower in my room did not work at all, there was a shared shower down the hall somewhere which I decided not to use. The place is run down as other reviewers have mentioned, needs a good makeover. The floor in the bathroom was not at all level for instance. But it was cheap as I said so I did not have high expectations.

Slept well, I was not disturbed by noise and the bed was comfortable. The room was a good size. Was quite close to the train station which was important. Was the cheapest place I could find which suited my needs. The owner was pleasant to deal with

Could do with a lick of paint and have a plug for there sinks. There was no one on reception and the front door was locked when you turned up, had to wait for 10 minutes for someone to open the door to let me in.

Room was very basic. Although there was a sink in the room there was no plug. The decor could have been better as it was very patchy. Also there was no plug in the sink in the bathroom.

My late arrival clearly had been forgotten about as no one was at the reception and had to ring to wake someone up so I could check in. When the man came he then said he didn’t have a single room available despite me having booked one, the subsequent room I got was a double, a nice touch, but very basic. The bathroom was dirty and in need of repair and there was a annoying beeping sound from reception. Unfortunately wouldn’t stay again

The carpets, no TV remote, the pillows are finished. No soap was provided in the shower and no soap holder or anywhere to put shower gel. I couldn’t find anyone when I needed help. They need to check and clean the drawers regularly

Everything. The manager seemed pervy to put it politely. We found pubes in the bed & the shower, the shower curtain was vile, I refused to touch it. The remote had been stolen & the light bulb. Which he didn’t notice even though “ he JUST cleaned it” there was one extremely thin pillow. It was awful. The mattress was uncomfortable, the drawers were messy inside, cups were stained, the wardrobe still had mess left inside. The floor needed stain removing & hoovering the toilet roll hadn’t even been replaced, and there was a single soap even though it says it included toiletries. Towel was scratchy. An overall horrendous stay. For the price difference I’m sticking to the Stuart hotel (£10-15 difference and a lot better!

The location is the only good thing, close to ALDI, a chippy & a pub.

The room was unbelievably hot and there was no through ventilation. Of course the host cannot be responsible for the weather, but at least a fan would have been a great help.

the carpet in the bedroom hadn’t been hoovered as when walking about in my socks I picked up popcorn and sticky sweets, a filter wrapper was on the floor, the chest of drawers had plastic bags, packet of toilet wipes and some sort of wire grips in them there was empty shower gel capsule in the shower, no coat hangers in the wardrobe, I paid £45 for bed and breakfast on arrival I was told they no longer do breakfast as they binned more than was eaten by guests yet breakfast was advertised on the back of the door in the bedroom. the bedrooms advertised on bookings did not match that to what I stayed in as the manager said there are no just double bedrooms. this guest house needs a lick of paint and flooring ie laminate flooring needs updating on the ground floor and stair carpet needs replacing

Needed big case of modernisation. Stains on walls, around toilet and underneath in-room sink. The price is too high for what you get. You get locked out if not back within a certain time, (although you get told that you can come back anytime

The host needs to change his clothes and take a shower, the place looks like a drug den. There were human excrements near the entrance. Room smelled of cigarettes. Not worth £45 a night. I wouldn't pay £20.
