Overpowering air fresheners; really awful. Especially when also present in the dining room. The mattress wasn’t comfortable at all, the hotel in general is quite dated and could do with some TLC. At reception, there were two members of staff working. One was really smiley and friendly and welcoming. The other barely looked at us and didn’t even tell us where our room was. He was also quite short with the other friendly member of staff which was quite uncalled for.

Location was fine for what we needed. Clean.

Plenty of parking. Lovely looking house and gardens. Great welcome at reception. Walk to our room was clean but a bit tatty in areas. Our room was excellent. Clean, big soft bed. Amazing shower over the bath, would prefer glass screen rather than curtain.

The toilets had an awful smell even after being cleaned. The heating was poor.

The staff were Amazing Amin and Jason are my favorites. They were so helpful especially Amin great guy.

As this is originally a very old building, it's not easy for disabled guests to navigate but everything was done to help my husband access our room. Some of the decor is a bit tired and there was no minibar to keep drinks cold but compared with the wonderful, kind, helpful staff, these were not huge issues.

The staff were friendly, efficient and really went the extra mile to help. My husband couldn't manage the steps so they moved us to a room where we could access via a fire exit. My key card failed, so Selina came dashing down with a new one. The breakfast staff were helpful and brought warm soya milk immediately. All in all, the staff members really were terrific. It's a lovely venue in a beautiful location too.

We had a ground floor room and wanted to open the curtains for the sun to come in but there weren’t any blinds or net curtains and people outside could see straight in. Everything else was great

It was beautiful and although we weren’t staying for long, the staff made us feel welcome. Joe looked after us.

Hotel was a bit tired and could do with being refurbished. However, it was clean, comfortable and in a lovely setting.

Helpful and friendly reception staff. Comfy bed. A problem with our allocated room was resolved promptly and with courtesy. We were given another upgraded room.

There needs to be a program of maintenance covering the rooms, the bathroom fan ran all night and was quite noisy, no plug sockets near the bed, this should be the norm in 2024. The room didn't appear to have been cleaned to a good standard with Pubic Hairs left in the toilet and parts from the bath taps in the bath not in the tap.

The hotel is in a lovely location away from the main roads, the rooms are well set out and have nice touches like a Nespresso coffee machine. The staff were very accommodating and helpful, the food in the bar although expensive was very good quality and arrived fairly quickly considering there was a wedding on. Excellent Parking

Our room was a little dated, mainly the carpet however it was clean to perfection and kept the room warm and snug so not really an issue at all.

It was a beautiful location. The room was very comfortable, clean and warm. The beds are super soft. Also they provide a coffee machine and kettle both available in the room.

VERY expensive bar prices, even for London prices! Bedroom facilities could have been better eg wardrobe space & availablitity of hangers. Bed mattress too soft, but that's just a personal opinion.

Everything was good.

Great hotel in a quiet setting with lovely views of the countryside. Good location as nearby train station for travelling to London attractions and shopping. All staff were very kind, caring, friendly, polite and helpful. Especially Jason, Joanne and Armin - thank you. Plenty of choice for a hearty breakfast too.
