How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

What a beautifully appointed flat so close to the harbour and River Tay. The owner was easy to communicate with, and the flat was exceptionally clean and full of beach memorabilia and holiday items to buy. There was a pay it forward suggestion for breakfast items on the first day, and the owner had thought of everything. Lots of ideas of where to eat and visit in the area, and books and dvds in case it rained! Would definitely recommend it.

On street parking - had to drive around to find a space on a different street.

Leaving!
The Fuzzy Duck was spotlessly clean with lots of homely touches and little extras. It was clear that the owners put a great deal of effort in yo ensuring guests enjoy their stay. The flat was equipped with everything you might need (and more) with excellent communication from the owner before, during and after our stay. Highly recommend a trip here and hope to be back soon.

Hospitality was exceptional, the hosts were outstanding, we felt so comfortable from the outset. Our small dog was made truly welcome. The flat is beautifully furnished and feels really comfortable and homely, a perfect place to chill and really close to the beach, promenade and cafes and bars

Couldn’t fault this property
This is an exceptional little property, the owner has thought of everything. Never have I stayed somewhere, where the host has left the guests a gift, such a lovely touch. I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

Unassuming and understated from the outside, this little flat was a revelation inside. Clean, tidy and very well appointed. A proper ‘little gem’. The owner had thought of everything to make the stay seamless and comfortable.

Can’t think of a thing !
Was in a quieter location but within minutes walk of pubs , restaurants and shops . No set parking but found a space easily enough . Ilona our host was fantastic, the lovely gifts all the homely touches it’s a definite wow 🤩 factor . Much better than a hotel room as separate living area . Will definitely Stay again .

Maybe a bit too much merchandise for sale in the flat. Felt a bit like staying in a gift shop but still a charming flat.
This was a very clean and comfortable apartment that had been tastefully decorated and the dog was provided with everything she could possibly need. In the heart of Broughty Ferry so very convenient for shops and station.

The shower took a little getting right. Personally I prefer a minimalist look and this was quite busy with a couple of themes in play but that's just a personal taste and it was done classily.
I've stayed in a lot of places. Some are soulless, some are homely. This place oozed homeliness. The attention to detail was extreme. A lot of lovely touches. We even had a couple of pizzas on hand operating on an honesty basis. It was cosy and warm with lots of space. Very well equipped. Right by the sea and a shop 50 yds away.

I can't say i didn't like anything - what was there to dislike - Absolutely nothing
Wow, what a place. Quirky, comfy and very homely. Welcomed with a gift for us all even Maddie, a treat for our cockapoo yum yum. There were a number of food items left by the host Ilona, what a great thought. The location was brilliant, a short stroll to the beach front and being able to collect driftwood and sea glass my hobby handmade craft items. Broughty Ferry ideal place to stay as our grandaughter lives in St Madoes which is not far away, and they also came to see us too.

Ilona is a fantastic host, she thinks of everything and goes above & beyond, great information was provided before our stay and nothing was too much trouble, including calling the local garage ahead of our arrival as we had some car trouble. The Fuzzy Duck is a lovely bright flat in a very central but quiet location. Very thoughtful gifts waiting for us upon arrival including one for Looney Tunes our dog, and some essentials saving a trip to the shop when we arrived. The Ferry is a great place, locals are friendly, and many dog-friendly places to eat & have a beer. A colourful variety of boutiques and gift shops. Well worth a visit!
