The hotel is dated. The bathroom was very old and no amount of cleaning could lift that really. It’s really time for it to be upgraded.

Staff were great and so welcoming. Great parking. Pool looked inviting. Good breakfast.

Walls needed refresh in our room. Needs a safe in the room. I would have liked a better selection of fruit at breakfast. Won't stop me coming again, just a little feedback.

The wifi signal was quite week in my room (Room 5). Signa is better in other rooms I've stayed in.

The hotel was very nice, room was very clean and comfy but a bit old. The gym was very well equipped. The main thing that let my stay down was the location of the room which was at the start of a busy corridor where staff were backwards and forwards all evening.

Very comfortable light filled ground floor double room in main building - garden view appreciated. Excellent housekeeping with squeaky clean bathroom - good towels. Ambience of hotel is pleasant with a decor which is a blend of the old with new. Rather good photographic prints of the property, which has an interesting back story ,when a private residence can be found on the walls - worth a second look. All staff encountered very pleasant and table service particularly good. Food - good :)

If I had to be picky, the one thing that I would definitely change is the provision of tea bags in the rooms. Our drinks tray included only 2 English breakfast tea bags. There were 2 others but they were decaffeinated and this really does not hit the spot with me!

We had a twin room on the ground floor. It was very big and exceptionally clean. Details such as how the complimentary tea/coffee tray was laid out in the room showed that the staff are well trained with an eye for detail. From the greeting on arrival to that on our departure, we found the staff impeccable in both their manner and their attire. The breakfast was well laid out and very good. We stayed just one night as were attending a funeral nearby, but we would have liked to have stayed longer. The whole hotel is very well laid out and extremely well run.

Staff were super friendly and was very accommodating when we arrived earlier than our check in time. Our room was a great size, clean with a great view! Room 214.

Very dated old fashioned decor and soft furnishings very dated. The building itself is absolutely stunning full of character.

The building, the rooms and communal areas and restaurant were very dated . However, the staff more than made up for this and were wonderful from the reception staff to the waitresses in the restaurant and bar area . They were friendly, professional and attentive . It was the staff that made our stay . Without them we would nt return. As the hotel does need an update .

Room was just what we needed. Hotel gave us a quiet room as requested. Staff could not have been friendlier. Breakfast was good (though would have liked more fruit).

The rooms could be improved. There should be a hand rail in the shower. The chair in front of the dressing table does not fit into the gap, so it's always in the way, especially at night.

The bathroom could be improved. it was difficult to get in and out the bath as the glass shower sceen was quite big so there wasnt much room to manouvre into the bath.
