We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

This is a wonderful B&B run by a lovely couple. They were very helpful and kind.

United KingdomFriendly welcome, good price and easy access to Westbourne where I was working and to the town centre for getting dinner. Not far from the beach so I was able to walk back from Westbourne to the hotel along the coast when the rain had stopped. I was also given more than adequate top ups of tea and milk for the room on request!

Friendly welcome. Glad I managed to get last of 3 parking spaces at the property. Was expecting a single but given a double room which was great.

From the minute of booking I had enquired about parking and got a response straight away, Upon mine & my daughters arrival Lena & Miles welcomed us with open arms, from standing outside as we arrived helping me park my car on their drive as close as possible to greeting us with warm heart felt welcoming signing in. Literally felt the home to home connection I booked my next visit with out even checking our room out 1st. Lena has the motherly atmosphere around her so much that when I woke up early hours the following morning with a raging ear ache I rung the buzzer & asked if she had any pain killers, Lena straight away went downstairs and soon reappeared with 2 types alongside her advice of nearest medical place being Good Friday which was so helpful. If it wasn't for her I wouldn't of been able to leave the room and break the promise of taking my daughter to the beach. Miles was so welcoming he helped us in with our luggage aswell as helping my daughter out with hers on our departure. We had a conversation outside the front for ages which it felt like we had been friends for years! Not just met and put us up as guests. I've been travelling down to Bournemouth since January and stayed in other hotels and felt uneasy and uncomfortable but Dolphin Hotel completely the opposite! I highly reccomend Dolphins hotel and the owners Lena & Miles with out a doubt Looking forward to my return next week

Owners were lovely and friendly, they were very helpful too let us leave the cars on the forecourt after we checked out whilst we went into town for breakfast and little shopping.

Both Lena and Miles couldn't have been more welcoming when I arrived. Nothing was too much trouble, despite my requiring a phone charging lead to a later breakfast ( which was delicious ) would definitely consider staying at The Dolphins again.
