Beautiful location in nature with superb birdsong in the woodland gardens plus a lovely small beach and beach cafe down the steep hill (useful free lifts provided). Plus great food at Ocean, super comfy beds and best of all, the friendly, kind staff who were all 5 star customer service stars

When I'm travelling on my own I don't like to sit in restaurants etc. So opted for room service, however the QR code and info in the room did not give any details on the menu selection. So ended up asking at reception. Minor point, just leave a copy of the menus in the room.

I liked the location and staff, very accommodating as the boat was delayed due to bad weather and they extended my stay with minimum fuss and did not take advantage and increase the rate or anything.

a really minor thing, but the way the sky box is mounted in our room was really daft! It meant the only way to use the remote was to be stood over the TV to point it at the IR receiver, which faced the ceiling?! A bit strange, but as I say, very minor in the overall context!

the entire stay was lovely - the room was great, the view superb, the staff were very friendly and helpful... really enjoyed the stay, and our nephew really enjoyed a swim in the pool the following day!

Not being able to control the heat in the room…

Cosy but not dated and the staff were awesome!! Gisa was especially helpful. Booked a garden view room (NOT an annex room) via Booking.com. Nowhere on the reservation did it state it was in the other building but I was contacted shortly after by the hotel to advise it was. One direct phone call to the hotel quickly remedied this with a complimentary upgrade!

The only negative ,and it wasn't a big one, was that I thought our room would be a little bigger. I booked the Gold Room, and the photo made it look a lot bigger than it was.

We liked everything! The staff were amazing, attentive, welcoming. It was out 40th wedding Anniversary whilst we were there, and there was a card in our room for us upon arrival. On the actual day we were congratulated by several of the staff and made to feel very special.. The local airport and taxi transfers into the town were also very helpful as my husband was unable to drive at the time. We loved the hotel, it was very peaceful and the views stunning. We were also very happy with our room, and the balcony was lovely to have. . Unfortunately I was too late in booking a Spa treatment, but we intend to return and I will definitely book one well in advance!! Both restaurants and recreational were amazing, as was the food. The Afternoon Tea....oh my goodness, the best I have ever had! I cannot fault this hotel at all and will recommend it to everybody who wants to visit Guernsey. We will definitely come back to stay.
