This place is fantastic. The owners are super kind and welcoming, they are very sweet. They take care of the wildlife, there are always nuts and seeds in the garden for birds and squirrels, and it’s lovely to just sit and observe the animals. We saw the red squirrels twice for breakfast- they are so cute and it made us so happy! Room was big and clean with a fantastic view of the valley and the mountains. We could see deers from our window! The garden, as mentioned, is a lovely and relaxing place. Great location too, plenty of walks start from here and there are many great pubs in the area. Breakfast is delicious (I loved the melon!) and they can make you a great packed lunch to bring with you, which is super handy and very cute! It’s in a very quiet area and it’s the perfect place to unwind. I can’t recommend this place enough, I wish we could have stayed longer!

Low beam in the ceilings in our loft room above beds. It added character, however for 2 of us over 6 feet we had to be careful sitting up! However, everything else was great & I would recommend.

Lovely location, variety of birds and red squirrels fascinating to watch from the breakfast conservatory. Room clean and comfortable. Breakfast delicious. Great bar with excellent food and beers 10-15 minutes walk.

Great location in a quieter part of the lake district with more than enough activities and attractions on your doorstep. We had a long journey to the lake district so we were happy to be able to do walks from the guesthouse and not have to use the car much while we were there. The owners were friendly and helpful and very welcoming to the dog too :) Good breakfast options and a drying room that worked!

The lane that leads to the house is only short, but it's extremely narrow, so just be aware.

Beds very comfy, rooms spotless, breakfast extremely tasty and plentiful. To top all those, Corrine was so sweet, pleasant and helpful. I can't however leave this review without mentioning the location.... the beautiful house is nestled in a quiet spot on the edge of the forest and the views from it are stunning. What makes it extra special though is the opportunity to sit eating breakfast whilst watching all manner of woodland, garden and forest bird feasting on the bird feeders right in front of the breakfast room. Also whilst we were there, we saw numerous sightings of red squirrels and three deer sightings. If you're looking for a peaceful break with excellent food, lodgings and you like watching birds and wildlife, don't look any further.
