How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Our stay was incredbile! Mark, the host of the apartament is a wonderful person! He Made our stay do Perfect! The room was beautiful, clean, smelling wonderful! We received a welcoming gift, some tasty snacks and and great guide not just for the apartament but also for the surrounding area od Brixton. We felst do welcomed that every day was special ♥️this trip Has been great, London os and amazing city and thanks to Mark IT exceedes our expectations. ♥️

Everything! The space was incredibly comfortable and well-appointed. I loved that there was an on-demand espresso machine, water, and snacks provided—it was such a thoughtful touch. The bed was very comfortable, making it easy to relax after long days out. The location was perfect for exploring Brixton, with everything I needed close by. My host was amazing and truly went above and beyond, allowing me to check in early and check out flexibly for my early flight. It was top-tier service from a top-tier host. This stay was everything I asked for and more. I’m already planning to come back to London and stay here again. Highly recommended!

A very welcoming place to stay and easy to find. Mark the host is brilliant, always available but unintrusive. The room and en-suite is perfect, clean and well equipped as is the kitchen area. The location is great and it is quiet despite being so close to the heart of Brixton. Leave the peace and quiet of the apartment and you are less than 10 mins walk from the eateries etc of Brixton Market and great transport links. I recommend this apartment highly.

The location of the apartment was excellent for Brixton centre, it’s 10 minutes easy walk. We were going to a gig at Brixton Academy and it was ideal.

Very nice welcome from the owner who was very relaxed and chilled about your use and coming and goings in the apartment. Really enjoyed the stay as it was fabulous in terms of its facilities and cleanliness.

The apartment was pristine and we were greeted by Mark on arrival who is super helpful and friendly. The room is spacious enough and has everything you would need for a short break and was great value for money. Me and my partner stayed here for a gig at the o2 academy and the location was perfect. Everything we needed including the amazing Brixton village was within a 5 minute walk. If you are nervous about booking somewhere that isn't just your own space and are a little unsure me and my partner would fully recommend booking this apartment. You will not be disappointed! Thank you Mark for being a great host.

Mark is an adorable, really available and discreet host. The room was so comfy and the all appartement is decorated with very good taste. It is really well located, Brixton is nice place to stay.

everything was great !
We had a great stay at Mark's place ! The room was perfect for our needs and we had our own bathroom which was very convenient. The location is great. Very close to Brixton metro stop, a lot of cool bars and restaurant in the area. Mark is a great host ! We totally recommend the place !

Everything was great, just bed was bit small for couple, but for solo traveler it would fit very well
Really nice clean apartment with friendly host, it was very well equiped and with tube you could be in city center in few minutes
