Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainThe room was small and it was on ground floor but for us it was enough and I guess other rooms are bigger.
The location was just perfect for us. Also our flight was delayed and at reception they were very friendly about it and waited dor us to arrive. Thank you so much. Also we booked a room with a shared bathroom amd they kindly upgraded us to a room with a private bathroom. It was clean and tiny. And value for money was good considering the location so close to the station.

ThailandI think the wall and the window is not noise-proof. I can clearly hear everything from outside and always wake up during the night because there were some drunken people walking and yelling around the street every night.
The room is great and clean. The location is every good.

MalaysiaThe staircase - we had to maneuver our large suitcases on the steep staircase. The hotel was undergoing minor refurbishment but did not trouble the guests as they kept the activities to a bare minimum noise level.
Hotel Meridiana was located very close to King Cross/St. Pancras Railway Station. It is very convenient to move around as it is centrally located. There are many food options to choose from around the hotel. The room was cozy, warm, and super clean. We would highly recommend it as it fits the budget and the location is superb!

NetherlandsNo remarks to offer. The hotel was in a great location, staff was friendly, and the room exceeded our expectations. Nothing not to like! We'd definitely book again.
Room was cozy but well-appointed. The high ceilings made the room feel quite spacious. Location was PERFECT - easy walking distance to King's Cross, busses, or even just walking all the way to Covent Garden.

MalaysiaWould be great if the room had a mini fridge.
Our family room is in the basement and it's recently refurbished, so the toilet and shower are all fresh and new! Water is hot and and comfortable. The only complaint is there is a still a smell of fresh paint in the room, and the pillow they provide is too thin. But for the price point and location, this is an excellent place and my family and I enjoyed our stay.

FranceWe were 3 ladies spent our weekend to enjoy London. the room smaller than shown on the photos. Toilet and shower can be improved abit run down but since we only stay at the hotel just for the night, so that's okay. Stairs may not be suitable for elderly or small kids.
Location close to Saint Pancreas, easy connection to eurotrain, and transport to airports. Quiet surrounding even though location at the central. Perfect for short stay with friends not for long stay. Not suitable for familles with small kids. daily sheet change. Clean room.

United KingdomThe mattress was able to slide around on the bed frame, which was a bit annoying. The hot water in the shower took a a little while to arrive (when you turn it on nothing happens for a solid 30 seconds). The TV in the room wasn't working, but that didn't bother me.
Excellent location. Though small, the single room was larger than I expected and the bathroom even more so. The mattress was comfortable. I would stay here again.

GermanyThe bathroom is pretty small and with a very tiny sink, but totally OK for a short stay.
This was our second stay at Hotel Meridiana and it was once again really great! The staff is always nice and helpful, and the room is basic but super clean and it has everything you need for a short stay. And once again, this hotel is in a superb location, with King's Cross and St Pancras just a short walk away. Very central and well connected to the rest of the city. It's a great place to spend a short stay in London, great value for your money. Definitely recommended!
