We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Pool was good, lovely breakfast, comfortable room. Nice stay. 4* rating is deceiving. Didn't feel like a 4*. Having said that all went well and no complaints.

United Kingdomonly negative was the service in the restaurant / bar. making my order and getting the items out was great but after I finished dinning, it was nearly 30 minutes until I was able to pay my bill. table service seemed to stop and I had to wait at the bar to pay. not the end of the world, the staff were lovely, just didn’t seem to be enough of them. same happened when I stayed a few months back, must send people home early.

United KingdomLifted 4 hairclips from the bedroom floor. (had it been hoovered prior to arrival?!). Had to clean stains from the outside of kettle. Exit door directly opposite room door - such a view :-( clumps of moss, steps and walls that hadnt been cleaned in i dont know how long. Windows of swimming pool sooo dirty and marks the whole way around walls. For appearance/first impressions could things not be tidied up! I genuinely was actually shocked for it being a 4* hotel.
Nice staff, spacious room, very comfortable bed, swimming pool (bar state of windows which il mention below).

United Kingdomstaff at hotel were not friendly we were attending a wedding on the Friday and we’re staying two nights and we were made to feel not welcome at all . bar at the hotel closed at 11 pm on Saturday night . Staff were really rude .

Any bottles of water & drinks we had could not be chilled before we went out in the hot summer days No hooks at all in the bathroom to hang towels or clothes up on Also, a generator kept switching on/off outside our bedroom, hence waking us up Finally, the restaurant meals were not value for money - a high price for a not great meal

Under staffed. Dinner was a poor experience. No table ready despite being pre booked. Then given a small round table added to a slightly larger round table. After speaking to the manager Carlisle the issue was taken seriously. A round of drinks on the house was offered and accepted. He apologised and rectified it to our satisfaction. He used his experience and people skills to regain our custom as we were ready to leave and eat elsewhere. The food was average and nothing special for the prices paid.

United KingdomIt was quite noisy at night outside in the hallway. Lots of weddings etc on but was woken up at 7am by it so didn't have a good night sleep. We didn't like paying £115 for one night stay, for a room was actually joined to someone else's with a door - we literally heard their entire conversations, plus they tried the door too LOL! Felt there was no privacy. For a 4 star hotel especially. Breakfast was fine, not the best but not the worst either.
Clean and staff were nice. Went for a swim this morning and the spa facilities were great.

United KingdomDecor is tired, no air conditioning in rooms, health club needs a major refurb, lots of things broken or not working, showers by sauna totally out of action. Dining room is not 4 star standard, more like a cafe in an airport. Much better standards in other 3 star hotels I have stayed in.
Nice and clean. Forgot my main meal in the mill restaurant and served my wife hers like I wasn't having meal, as it was my wife's birthday I was more than disappointed by the service. This was rectified however and as a nice gesture they served us prosecco and a selection of sweet treats on a board with happy birthday written on it. Service could do with a shake up however.

We had a lovely time, one of the waitresses was great, many were young and were not brilliantly trained, though they were all pleasant. The bedroom, dining room and pool were all fine but a little tired and so I'm not sure I'd rush back given that the prices charged did not reflect the quality.

United KingdomThe bedrooms and en-suites were tired and not 4star quality. Our room was not serviced during a two night stay. The service during breakfast was disappointing, I expected tea to be in pots served to tables not in urns which was not nice. I asked for an umbrella in the rain, none available. Low quality toiletries and tea and coffee in rooms. Car park flooded, waded through water to get into car so wet feet, this must have happened before, but not cordoned off. I would have mentioned all of this on check out but no one on reception at check out time. Leisure facilities were not mentioned, is there a pool???
The communal areas were really beautifully presented. The staff were really friendly. The food was tasty.
