Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomDuring our stay, we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday experience. However, there were a couple of aspects that could have enhanced our overall satisfaction. Firstly, we found it would have been beneficial to have a handrail along the wall of the first tier of steps leading to the first floor. This would have greatly assisted my elderly mother, as navigating these stairs proved to be more challenging without the additional support. Additionally, we noticed the absence of any cleaning cloths for surfaces. Although we had brought kitchen roll, the lack of dedicated cleaning cloths made it somewhat inconvenient to maintain cleanliness and tidiness throughout our stay.
A delightful property. Very comfortable and the location is brilliant, in a quiet and beautiful part of the city.

United KingdomThere is nothing not to like!
Our family agreed this was one of the best stays we've ever had. The home is spacious, and very thoughtfully decorated. Beds were comfy, and all assorted items you could need (shampoo, dish soap, towels, etc) were plentiful. The biggest selling point is definitely the location. It's only a short walk into the centre of Norwich, but the street itself is an absolute gem. Parking on the street or the nearby carpark is simple and affordable. All in all, a fantastic stay!

AustraliaThe bin in the bathroom was full from the previous tenants. But I think this was a small oversight given how spotless everything else was.
I've been travelling all over England staying in hotels, B&B's etc along the way, so I've seen it all. I wanted to book somewhere special for my last days with my love in Norwich and my last days in England before returning to Australia. From the minute you enter, you will be both relieved and surprised. Everything is spotlessly clean and tidy, personal touches make this home feel incredibly cosy. A beautiful Danish-inspired design is carried throughout the three-floor townhouse. The care and quality of furnishings are evident in each piece that was chosen for this home. The street where the property is located is charming; a bakery, cafes (with good coffee!), antiques and paintings line each side. You'll be minutes from the main part of town, so wonderfully convenient if you're on foot. I honestly wish I had more time to spend here because it truly is a treasure. Thank you so much, Kenny, you've created a very special place.

United KingdomParking wasn't easy. Didnt get the code for the lock box until after I had arrived in Norwich which was stressful. Would have liked it the day before. Stairs are really steep and only toilet is at the top of the house
Street is beautiful - full of character with a deli, bakery, coffee shop etc and close to the centre House is full of character and comfortable and clean Kitchen was easy to cook in Wifi was good (when we accidently turned it off the host responded to us in minutes - excellent service)

United KingdomIt would be handy to have a spare occasional chair in the lounge and a full length mirror in the bedrooms. These things didn't impact our stay, I couldn't think of anything much to be critical of.
We really enjoyed our stay at 88 Upper St Giles. The property was cleaned to a very high standard and beautifully set out. The extra little things provided such as bread, milk and butter in the kitchen and shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom were such a thoughtful touch. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds really comfortable and the lounge was a lovely social space for us to hang out in. The Street was also really nice with little coffee shops and cake shops opposite. It was a really handy location too as only 10 minutes from the shopping centre.
