Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNot clean, very dusty, it could have been a beautiful hotel but the owner did not renovate the rooms, everything is old, rusty, old carpet, if you are looking for quality, cleanes or you have higher standards do not choose to stay at this hotel. However the bed sheets are ok,clean. Unfortunately, all Blackpool hotels are very ugly and overall the city has a poor image, buildings are ugly. I went for Sandcastle Aquapark adventure and I had to sleep for 1 night but I don't recommend this hotel if you want to stay for a longer period like 1 week or more. The indian couple who waited for us at the reception were nice people. The temperature in the room was perfect. In the front of the hotel are only 4 car parking spaces. The hotel is close to the main road.
It was quiet during night

United KingdomTV remote didn't work, and after a 4 hour train journey, all I wanted to do was chill and watch some t.v luckily. My phone had to do. Bedding had holes in I.E person before must have been smoking in the bed, floor could have done with a hoover before allowing a guest to stay
Friendly staff, allowed me to check in late(8pm), nice Seaview despite scaffolding (that can't be helped)

United KingdomThe shower pressure was very week although this may have been due to being on the third floor. The matress do need to be replaced at least in the room I was in as you could feel the springs in the bed
Clean room and was a good size too. Was only 20 mins walk from the north pier. The hosts were friendly

United KingdomWhere do I start The room was filthy There was no electricity in any of the rooms and after sitting in the bar area for over 2 hours the owners never came to us to explain the situation We were travelling with a 1 year old, we were not offered torches or candles, the bar area absolutely smelled disgustingly like wee and damp, I felt completely filthy staying at this hotel and if it wasn’t so late at night and after having a few glasses of wine with dinner I would have driven home, the place shouldn’t be open for business and should be closed down by the health inspector, there was also no hot water, we left at 6.30 in the morning because we hated being there, it also costed £90 for the pleasure of staying there, I don’t think I would pay £30, completely ruined our trip!
Nothing

United KingdomI didn’t like that both hot and the cold tap come out very hot so we had no cold water and the weather was really hot outside so to have no cold water it was really not good , we did request cold water from downstairs but apparently they couldn’t do that, also when I asked about did they do drinks n stuff he said only beer didn’t explain further or sound appealing to even go have a look, also the hotel was so far away from anything it did look closer on the map but yeah something for people to consider as we spend unnecessary money on taxis ect and walking took us about 45 mins from the tower.
The lady greeted us on arrival, room was clean and tidy, bed was very comfy, they had tea and coffee in the room and a kettle, the bathroom was clean which is always a good thing.

RomaniaCan t say there was something we did not like, there were renovations going and as expected scaffolding on the building, and our room being front see was mainly on the window side but can t say we didn t like, was expected and being Easter holiday no one worked so no noise or inconvenience. Once finished i am sure it will look amazing and with the benches back on the terase that would be a great spot for morning coffee or evening tea 🙂
Amazing staff, very helpful and kind, very close of any attraction by the sea or town, everything you need ( restaurants or budget shops) in a walking distance, super close to the sea, and breathtaking view of the sunset!

United KingdomThe pictures online are not at all what the property was like. The building is full of scaffolding and looks derelict. From entering the property, there was rubbish on the floor, a bad smell, and felt and looked dirty. Going through the corridors to our room, it was filthy and very dated, we literally felt like we were in a homeless shelter that hadn't been in use in 10 years. My hands constantly felt dirty from touching doors, etc. Our room had a bunk bed and a double bed, 2 bedside tables which were nowhere near the bed, a filthy sofa and a chest of drawers. All the furniture looked like it had been shoved in the room wherever it fitted like a game of tetris. The "flat screen" TV was that old that it didn't have a HDMI port, in fact it was that old it had a scart port. The tea and coffee facilities were poor and dirty. The sheets and bedding had stains and holes and did not feel clean. The carpet had come straight from the 70s and felt so dirty. The room was freezing, the windows were constantly misted like they were not sealed correctly. The smell everywhere was awful. We were with our 2 little boys and could only manage to stay for 1 night.
The owners were pleasant.
