Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

IrelandThe rooms could do with being updated & re painted. In saying that it was fairly clean. The shower was good & the beds were comfortable. The walls are very thin so you can hear movement from other rooms.
The location is good. There are shops & eateries in the area. The closest tube station is 10 minutes walk max.

United KingdomI recently stayed at this hotel, and while the location was excellent, that’s about all it had going for it. The saying “you get what you pay for” rings true here. Check-in time is at 3 o’clock, but upon arrival, there was no one at the reception desk. Instead, guests are required to receive a code and retrieve their key from a locker. Once in my room, the overpowering smell of cigarettes nearly overwhelmed me; the entire room reeked of smoke. Additionally, the shower wasn’t working properly, as water was leaking from the hose as soon as the tap was turned on. Overall, the hotel is suitable for a short stay of one or two nights, considering the price, but I wouldn’t recommend it for longer stays or for those sensitive to cigarette smoke.

IrelandThere was a mouse trap in the room, heating could not be turned down which left room uncomfortably hot and I couldn't sleep past 4am, Window wouldn't stay open. Housekeeping tried to enter an hour before check out , i was on a Zoom work call and had to tell them twice not to enter and they then shouted 'what time are you checking out'. very embarrassing as was on a work call and it was heard. Noisy guests shouting in corridors at 11pm and at 3am which isn't the fault of the hotel however the cheap price (myself included) attracts a certain type of clientele with no respect for other people or common sense to not shout and make noise. Mattress was old, worn , had what looked like bite marks and had stains.
The location is excellent and it is priced fairly. Staff were helpful with carring luggage and early checkin

United KingdomCarpet was very dirty, shower was very dirty and also there was no way of taking a shower without either having it too cold or too hot there was no in between which made the stay unpleasant. Heater was always on and made the whole room boiling hot and wasn't able to turn heater off as there was no knob or control panel. Pillows were very thin which meant your head was basically on the mattress all night.
