We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

Breakfast was a bit strange because of COVID but the food was very nice. I asked if I could have a fresh fried egg and it was very nice. The spar was very good well organised.

United KingdomThe health spa said it was open til 9:30pm and the email we received say 9:30pm. We planned our day around this expectation but when we arrived they said 7:30pm. Neither reception nor the spa staff acknowledged that this was a change from advertised hours or offered a reason. The room was lovely but walls a bit thin at points when others were loud. Some of the corridors had substantial wear and tear.
I like this hotel, it is well located for me and the health spa is nice, worth the extra money . The breakfast was lovely and they did extra vegetarian sausages for us. Staff very friendly and professional.

United KingdomBreakfast was somewhat disappointing. Whilst appreciating that we are living in tricky (COVID) times, the choice on offer was very limited and surprising for a hotel of this quality (especially when everything else was so good). Examples included: 1. No selection of teas - just a basket with a few 'builders' tea bags in. The staff did kindly get me some Earl Grey, but there is no obvious reason why they couldn't just have put a selection out. 2. The hot buffet was ok, but the scrambled egg on the first day was awful - the second morning it was much better. Sausages were over-cooked and very tough. 3. Cereal selection was limited and nothing healthy. 4. Whilst the fruit salad was good, we would have preferred a selection of fresh fruit (maybe as well as?). 5. The yoghurts were terrible - cheap, tasteless rubbish. It wouldn't take much to bring the breakfasts up in quality to match the rest of the hotel's offering.
Our room was lovely - we had a deluxe room, which was very spacious. We were a little surprised that there was no hairdryer provided, but this was not a problem, and we are sure that we could have asked reception for one had it been a real issue. We had dinner in the restaurant, and this was very good - tasty and reasonably priced. The health and leisure facilities were excellent. The staff were very attentive and helpful and the pool was a perfect temperature. It was very clean and it was clear that a lot of effort had gone into ensuring that cleaning was taken seriously.

United Kingdomrooms need a paint and a little updating, staff miserable young kids not knowing what times restaurant opens Ect, no atmosphere our room with balcony had a very full ashtray from previous guests we non smokers hallway carpets leading to rooms full of stains on the plus side food really nice and value for money. I had a executive room but the Deluxe was amazing wish we had booked that instead same price.

My husband doesn't get on with coffee there were no teaspoons to retrieve the teabags as they had been used for coffee. It felt like a work cafeteria rather than a rather expensive hotel!

United KingdomThe breakfast is limited, particularly for a hotel with a health club attached. As I don’t eat cooked breakfasts, I would have liked to see fruit salad or fresh fruit, nuts & dried fruits to accompany the cereals, better quality yoghurts & higher quality wholemeal bread. The breakfast just doesn’t have enough healthy choices for vegetarians. But the accommodation is excellent.
The bedroom was very well designed & spacious, with great lighting and a good colour scheme/decor. Comfortable bed. Very good water oressure in bathroom. Everything was spotlessly clean. The swimming pool/spa area is wonderful.

United KingdomWhy is such a great hotel with great facilities and staff 'serving' (from a vending machine) such horrible coffee and iffy tea. We have family in Thatcham and stay at a hotel in town at least twice a year and love the Regency facilities but the rubbish tea and coffee could be a deal breaker and back to the Best Western or even the Berkshire Arms.
