    Nothing to write about

The very pleasant atmosphere in the dining room combined with the unobtrusive but attentive service was the highlight of our stay

After two weeks of a brilliant stay the senior member of staff looking after the desk on the morning of my last breakfast and last day was really quite grumpy and disinterested - when i asked to rebook for a further week which she understandably couldn’t accommodate. Shame!

Staff were all excellent over the two weeks of my stay. It’s quiet enough to sleep well. Rooms are really great and stocked well. The manager went above and beyond to help me out, even when i needed a quick room for an unexpected meeting. Service staff were brilliant, nothing too much trouble the younger staff members are a massive asset.

The room was fine but the windows didn't open and the air conditioning unit didn't work! We did report it and were assured that the windows would open and that a member of staff would deal with it whilst we were out. The windows were closed when we got back - presumably the member of staff realised that the windows didn't open! No feedback to us on the problem.

Good location and parking right outside. The room was fine and dinner and breakfast were OK.

Excellent place to stay for a visit to Tunbridge Wells.

Whilst the bathroom had been recently redecorated to a high standard, with free standing bath and shower over, the oval shower curtain rail was too small leaving a very small space within which to have a shower without constantly fending off the shower curtain. Form over function I'm afraid. Otherwise everything else about the stay was great.

Very nice breakfast and dining space. Bar area was relaxed. Excellent cooked to order breakfast. Room was a good size with view over Tunbridge Wells, and a short walk to the best areas of the town. Free car parking.

Breakfast was being served by just one member of staff on each day. Although it was a buffet it was very sparse and on on the first day there was no fresh fruit left and chef "didnt have anymore prepared".

Building is nice and in a good position overlooking the town.

The sink in the bathroom in room 14 was too small. It is a cloakroom sized basin. You couldn't wash your face or spit your toothpaste out easily because it had a huge mixer tap and also hindered by the glass shelf being too low.

Loved the breakfast room. Beautifully decorated. Staff were friendly, efficient and attentive. Hotel is well positioned in Central Tunbridge Wells. The room was lovely.

I have no big negatives to complain about.

Very beautiful decor and welcoming. Room was spacious and clean. Bar was nice and brasserie with a lovely selection for breakfast. Staff were very polite but I noticed very busy and seemed short staffed. Credit too the young man on the bar who made amazing cocktails for us. Overall a lovely hotel.

Good communication from the hotel, very helpful when we arrived at reception. The bar and restaurant area is a lovely space to sit for a few drinks. Nice location up on a hill overlooking the town. Our room was very clean and comfortable with all that we needed Great breakfast, very well presented with plenty of choice. Amy went the extra mile, very helpful booking our taxi too.

My partner and I were looking for stuff to criticise - but couldn't find anything.. and it actually got to the point where we were checking the underside of the soap tray to see if it had any rust on it haha! However.. booking.com let us down as they didn't submit our loyalty payments (we had £50 ish in our booking.com wallet and booking.com failed to honour it.. ). It meant we had to pay the full value on the room.

Luxurious room, superking bed which was super comfortable. It was lovely and quiet in the room with lots of extra touches like a digital radio playing classical music when you arrive. Lovely bathroom with a full bath and bubble-bath. Room was huge.. but then it did cost £200 a night. Good TV and lots of extra facilities in room like a fan. Communal areas are lovely and the impressive looking hotel is right next to the town. Parking was also on-site and free! Excellent (and huge!) breakfast and lovely bar.

Baths with shower curtains? The world's moved on guys. Also fixed height shower, no good if you don't want to wash your hair.

Pleasant hotel, nice bar and decent location. Very generous on letting us park whilst visiting the pantiles the next day. Lovely bathroom except....

Weren’t able to offer an extra hour late check-out 11-12, despite not being able to access the room before 3pm the day before. This is despite me telling them my 8 year old son was jet-lagged and still asleep. Restaurant closed at 8.30, and refused to serve anything at 8.40. Breakfast was ok but no side plates or fruit juice.

Nice modern room. Lovely shower. Nice guy who welcomed us on arrival despite not being able to give us our room.
