Beautiful hotel...lovely area. Large comfortable room with equally large bathroom. Plenty of space in the car park or on the street for parking. Excellent breakfast with plenty of choice. We even saw the wall lizards in the garden. Convenient for walking into town or to the sea front. Ventnor Park just around the corner was lovely.

Had an excellent stay. The hotel is really peaceful and the gardens are very pretty. The staff are super and the owner gave us a free upgrade which was really kind. First time I’ve ever had a free upgrade. The breakfast was delicious, the room was fab and the hot drink selection made me very happy with lots of biscuits. The location was perfect for us. It’s close to a pretty park, the beach and The Spyglass Inn, which serves lots of tasty food, has a cosy, fun atmosphere with amazing views. The room was spotless. We stayed for two nights and came back from a day on the beach to a room that felt brand new again. A really special Hotel.

An excellent experience. Staff are friendly and relaxed yet also operate hotel with precise attention to detail. Room was spacious and comfortable; breakfast was tasty and keep us going all through the day; a pretty location with well cared for hotel and grounds. Highly recommended.

Fabulous hotel at an amazing location. I and my son really enjoyed our stay at St. Maur. The room was very clean, the bed very comfortable and the bathroom spacious and sparkling. Delicious breakfast every morning. What a charming, beautiful, warm and welcoming hotel sorounded by stunning nature. Highly reccommended!

If you are looking for a hidden gem, look no further!!, ideally located , wonderful staff, beautiful sea views, amazing size room and bath room (Room 5) clean and bright, lovely breakfast with a variety of choices. A home away from home. Warm welcome from start to finish, beautiful grounds. David and his team are amazing and work really hard to make you feel at ease and welcome. We will definitely be back and have been telling all our friends this is the place to stay when you visit Ventnor!

The weather! But as it was March we couldn’t expect too much.

The hotel cannot be faulted in any way but guests need to be aware that the area of Ventnor is very hilly. If you are fit that is not a problem but otherwise you need a car or taxi to get around. Parking is sometimes difficult.

The breakfast choice and quality was excellent. Portions were generous. The location was just outside of the centre of town and away from the Esplanade both of which were a ten minute walk or a short drive away. The rooms with a balcony are large bright and well furnished and the bathrooms are well equipped.

Amazing Victorian building set in beautiful gardens. Just a walk away from the Botanical gardens and esplanade, restaurants etc. Our room was on the second floor with a sea view that was stunning.
