The property has no significant drawbacks.

Breakfast was incredible, the best of the trip. House-baked pastries, breakfast made to order. They send you out the door with extra croissants, etc. Staff incredibly friendly. Rooms are flawless. Beds are comfy. Location is spectacular.

    Nothing.

Lush and plush. The hosts were extremely welcoming and I was immediately taken by the surroundings. I honestly could live there quite happily. The hosts even made up a packed lunch for me when I explained I was an early starter and wouldn't be around for their legendary breakfasts. Also, I ate all the biscuits. Yip. It was me. 😁

From the Moment Mark contacted me in advance on the phone (to check arrival times, and any special requests) until we checked out it was a lovely stay. I cannot speak highly enough of Mark and Aby Lang and the effort they went to with the finer details addressed(which numerous other B&Bs could benefit from too) at Struan House. The en-suite Room we stayed in ‘Isle of Arran’ was light, spacious and with warm and comfortable furnishings, with a wonderful view of the harbour! The breakfast served (freshly) in the morning was cooked to perfection and not greasy like so many can be. The Mexican porridge is a must try as well! Our only regret is we could not stay there longer, but we will certainly be back. Mark and Aby Lang are a lovely, friendly, warm couple who have poured their love into this B&B complimenting and adding to the beauty of this Fishing village.

Mark & Aby make the best breakfast and plenty of it, fresh fruit and the Mexican porridge is amazing, and I don't usually eat porridge, the cooked breakfast is also cooked to perfection, good quality and with toast and home made jam & marmalade we couldn't manage lunch! The view from the room was beautiful.

We had a slight panic as we struggled to get the main door open to get out on the morning we left, the owner did show me that the night before and said it was stiff. I would suggest a new lock for this to make it easier for people to leave the premises if they need to go before everyone is awake or there is an emergency.

We arrived quite late on the Friday and struggled to find somewhere to eat. The B&B owner vey kindly checked with a nearby restaurant and managed to get us a table at very short notice. The room we had was lovely and the bed very comfy. Bathroom clean and we had a really nice view of the harbour. It was a particularly warm evening and there was a fan in the wardrobe we used, that was a God send. The next day we caught early boat at Kennacraig so had left before breakfast started, however the owners had made us sandwiches which they left in the fridge with yogurts. We really appreciated this. Hopefully if we stay again, we will have time to try the breakfast.
