Such a beautiful place just off of the road and set back in a lovely quiet spot. Very friendly staff and a beautiful room with plenty of space and facilities. I love the fact that I had my own room off of the main double room. Would be a great room for families with small children. Bonus is that they are dog friendly as well so I will be returning here with mine. Very nice food at a reasonable price and a good selection of drinks etc available. A really nice breakfast with help yourself to cereals, toast, tea, coffee etc and your main hot food order was taken and served fresh to your table. A good selection from the menu.

Very comfortable, Daisy the waitress was nice and gave us some tips of places to visit with our dog. Friendly staff and good location. Our dog especially liked the sausage for breakfast each morning and he was made to feel welcome. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The mid week carvery on the Wednesday was plentiful and tasty. We ate in the restaurant 3 times and each time it was reasonably priced and good food. Great selection of real ale.

The bathroom window had a problem. The lights in the bathroom didn’t work properly. Also the bath wasn’t very clean. Plus the sofa bed was really uncomfortable.

Lovely team of staff, made us feel very welcome & nothing was too much trouble. They were particularly welcoming to our dog! Food good, excellent breakfast & midweek carvery. Our dog loved her sausage breakfasts! Plenty of parking & good outside garden area fully fenced off for child & dog safety. Our room was very good size with extra large comfortable bed & plenty of room to accommodate our dog too.

We waited over an hour for our dinner. It was just bad luck because a huge table of people turned up, and I didn't realise we had to book a table. I think guests should have a little priority if we were paying to stay. My 4 year old was past hungry by the time she ate and then that was our evening over as she was done by then.

The rooms and breakfast was brilliant. Felt very clean and clear. The only let down. was there was no toilet roll, tea or milk in the room, but it was given as soon as we asked.

The only thing we slightly disliked was it was a little chilly on arrival and some noise from cars birds etc .

The countryman inn is a very cosy homely old country style pub and hotel with a modern twist .

I suppose there’s not a ton to walk to but that didn’t bother us. More than enough choice on the menu to keep us going for a couple of nights.

Lovely hotel, lovely food, friendly staff, family room was brilliant. Had everything we needed and loads of space. Couldn’t have been happier with it. Recommend.

The shower was hard to turn off. and the door to the room had to be pulled hard to shut, but being an old building things like this could be expected.

Nice clean room, the evening meal was great and the staff were exceptional. Breakfast had a good selection for all tastes.

Struggled with the WiFi but to be fair didn’t ask the staff for help and switched to 4G instead. I’m sure if I had mentioned something the team would have been able to help so this isn’t really a criticism.

Very nice pub, excellent room, very cosy and self contained with good amenities. The staff were excellent, every member of staff we met was friendly and accommodating which led to a nice atmosphere throughout our stay. Would highly recommend and will be returning to stay again in future based on our experience.
