Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United KingdomThe only thing that let it down was the cleanliness. Cobwebs around the room, carpets a little grubby which wasn’t a big deal, it was mainly the bathroom. The shower head was THICK with limescale so it must’ve been a while since it was cleaned. I’ve never known anything like it, to point where I showered in the spa area. It was really disappointing as I did not expect somewhere like the Elms to be unclean. I did highlight this to reception and showed them the pictures, which they were disgusted at. I was advised someone would be in touch with me but haven’t heard anything and that was 3 weeks ago, little disappointing.
Lovely building, friendly staff and the spa facilities were great.

United KingdomThe strong smell of fish around reception on our arrival and most of our stay. I understand you do a good job with fish at breakfast but I just wish the smell could be removed. It may put some people off. We didn’t eat dinner here because we have done it before and felt disappointed with it.
Loved the house granola and the serve yourself style for breakfast. Much better this way. Hot breakfast beautifully cooked. Thank you. Room was quiet - we asked for that, thank you. Spa facilities stunning and so welcome. Very clean, well staffed and supplied. Had a walk around the grounds and saw rainbows in the sky. Magic.

United KingdomLoved our stay as always but quite disappointed with a few things unfortunately. Our dining experience wasn't great, the service was fine but £31 for 3 little slices of lamb and pretty much nothing to go with it was a bit of a shock, happy to pay the money for nice food but should not be leaving hungry. We had no coffee machine in our room, a kettle and nescafe sachets for a £199 room isn't really acceptable, no slippers in the room for the spa, and no water in the room, again for £199 a night this isn't great. We've been coming here for a few years and apart from reducing the spa time to check in and check out times I have never had any complaints. Not sure if there has been a change in management or if we were just unlucky but this has changed my view slightly. I would not eat for dinner again. Other than this the spa was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay as always.
I love the whole building, spa and location it's a beautiful place. Breakfast is lovely and good value, staff are friendly.
