How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

There was nothing not to like
Big bright and airy room, spacious bathroom and plenty of storage space. Parking was straight outside the property, also host was friendly and informative and only 5 mins walk from the beach.

Nothing. It was perfect
Lovely cosy room, loads of tea coffee n sugar. Super clean. Really quiet in the room considering the busy ish road out side. Nice hot shower and fluffy towels. I had a 3 night momma mini break, and loved it. Was always back at the room for 3/4pm ish. Just to literally do nothing but watch tv n eat rubbish. The tv in the room had Netflix, Amazon, now tv which you can log in with. I’ll be back x

The only challenging thing was finding the hairdryer. I won't say where it was because that would spoil all the fun of finding it but it is in there somewhere :D
The room was big, more like a small suite, things in there were big too such as the sink, the shower and the bed. The manageress was available, warm and pleasant - but mostly elsewhere which suited me perfectly. I stay in a lot of places and I can generally pick out one or two things which could stand improvement but this place managed to get it all right for me. There was nothing I needed to ask for and nothing I wanted to be changed. I would say the room was a little bit eccentric, the red button to press which makes the shower work being one example. I knew about this beforehand due to reading reviews on here. When the button is pressed, the shower runs for 37 seconds which is eccentric but does save all that fiddling about to set the temperature because it is pre-set. The building is about a ten minute walk from the town but this is no bad thing. It's also on a main road but I didn't notice any noise to speak of. The wi-fi was fast and stable

The shower timer needs adjusting as you have to keep pressing the button, as it only stays on for literally a few seconds. I also found my partner had tried contacting the owners prior to our booking as she was looking to propose and was making an equiry request with the owners to which i later found she hadn't received a reply.
Very comfortable, ideally situated as it's within walking distance of the beach. Room was clean and well kept. Good value for money considering the location.

Wow, what a find! Super location, close to the beach, town centre and the train station. We had a lovely time. The room was amazing - large, spotless and even had a fridge, microwave and fan. The bed was enormous and had the most comfortable mattress and pillows. We will definitely be back!

Bed was comfortable and cozy. Lovely spacious room and bathroom. We particularly enjoyed being able to log into our Netflix and YouTube instead of having to flick through tv channels like when we stay in hotels! Overall it was a very lovely stay and we will absolutely be making this our regular accommodation when we come for our annual visit!

Shower drainage was poor.
