The decor in the room was a little tired, paint peeling off the bathroom ceiling, wouldn’t take much to just rub it down and repaint.

The location was very good, the atmosphere in the hotel/bar was cosy. The room was a little small but adequate. The breakfast was very good.

Lovely pub and very convenient location for our trip. It was the little touches that made the difference- being given some fresh milk for use in room. When we went up to the room the curtains had been pulled and a lamp was on, and the radio was playing which made it feel very cosy and inviting. The room was very clean, great choice for breakfast, the staff were lovely and friendly and it was a great price.

Veggie breakfast was a bit disappointing (leathery mushrooms & not very nice sausages) but the tea was good & the staff are friendly.

Nothing Major all was good but just there was a few cracks in the wall it is an old building so to be expected but they might need to be look into it

Breakfast was disappointing. Were croissants/pastries as well as full English available or was it a choice?. It wasn't made clear. No fruit or yogurt available. Price maybe a bit high for this room

This hotel has no lift. (This was known before booking). The bannisters on the stairs did not cover the whole stair well and could be awkward for older guests.

Exceptional service by all staff. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The food was outstanding, beautifully cooked and almost too much to eat! My room was amply provided with tea, coffee , hot chocolate and bottles of water. I was impressed by the ground coffee and cafetiere. I was extremely comfortable and hope to use this hotel again

A little noise from outside in the early hours but it wasn’t too much of an issue and the shower head was falling off and had to be held by hand.

Very clean and tidy. Very polite and nice staff. And the radio on in the room was a nice touch. Breakfast was really nice. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We stayed on a Saturday night and pub closed before we returned at 11pm. Would have been nice to have had a drink before heading up to room

The room was too hot and although the radiator was off in the room, pipework for the bathroom radiator went through the bedroom and piping hot, as was the radiator. The ceiling in the bathroom was flaking badly and the toilet flush not very good.

We have stayed here before and always found the staff very friendly and polite.

I loved the decor and boutique style in the bedroom. The whole place was ideal and perfectly located in the centre of Melksham with it's own parking. Staff were lovely and eager to please.

The Kings Arms is a traditional inn, conveniently placed for Lacock NT village. Very friendly staff, both in the restaurant and the bar. The rooms are decorated to a high standard, as is the restaurant area. The whole place has a lot of charm.

We weren’t happy with the twin room we were offered on arrival. I pointed out that we had booked a double & within minutes this was arranged for us with apologies from staff.

Lovely room, clean & comfortable. Facilities in room to make a hot drink, lovely coffee. Some noise but we were at the front of the hotel so to be expected, overall enjoyable stay. Great breakfast lovely staff.

As it was valentines night menu was limited but alternative menu was made available to people who stayed at pub. Food wasn't great. Spaghetti bolognaise bit dry as no sauce and steak I had was tough (unlike first night where steak was amazing)
