Whilst we knew it was above a pub the noise, particularly on the Friday night was very loud until quite late, we weren't aware there were two other pubs in very close proximity which added to the noise levels. I think just because it was an older pub the insulation may not have been the best, it almost sounded like the patrons were in your room. Other than that, we could not fault the accommodation at all.

The property was very clean and a lot bigger than expected. It more than catered for our needs.

Great location for what we wanted. Visiting family. Llantwit Major is a friendly village and close to the sea. The apartment was huge. The bed was very comfortable but would recommend not going to bed before the pub closes especially if there a noisy crowd.

Large lounge huge comfy sofa, dining table for a family, 2 bedrooms large kitchen.

Spacious and great value, take kids by all means as long as they don’t mind the rumble of the pub below, didn’t use the pub but would have done had we not had a function elsewhere which didn’t have accommodation.

Unfortunately the restaurant was closed for a refurb so we can’t comment on the food, but the ale was first rate!

Nothing about the property, but I did ask a few times about storing our luggage/possible early check in and this was ignored.

The flat was very spacious and modern, with plenty of room for the four of us. The kitchen was well equipped and the living room and bedrooms were comfortable. It is right in the heart of the village and there is free street parking nearby or the town hall car park which is also free. Note that this is above the very old pub so stairs are the only access and you can hear the pub below in some rooms more than others, but that didn’t bother us because we were out anyway. Sadly being there one night, we didn’t have time to eat or drink at the pub but I have been there before and highly recommend.

kitchen was a bit poorly equipped. Parking was not easy since there was no allocated parking. I found it hard more than once to find a parking space in the dark, rainy evenings.

Being able to eat on the pub as an option. We were only staying one night to attend a local funeral so it wasn’t a big deal but it would have helped.

No food was available either at breakfast or on arrival. We had to go elsewhere in the town or bring in our own food.

The only thing wrong with the apartment was the toilet seat was very loose, everything else was all good

There was a lot of noise from outside on the Saturday night but we were told by the host before we stayed that this was the case, so we knew what to expect and it didn’t bother us as after a few beers we slept without a problem
