How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Signage for the hotel - it was difficult to find the entrance to the hotel as it wasn't road facing - we walked around the attached Mall looking for the hotel until we saw a very small sign for Thistle Express - after that everything was fine!
Room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was great at a very reasonable price - very handy for the airport. Short walk to the interchange to get the bus to Luton airport.

Usually the rooms are very soundproof, but landed all off a sudden on a room where our neighbours could be heard very clearly.

The carpet in the room requires renovation, there were unclear spots on it.
Easy to get to/from the airport, very nice breakfast, the shower is very clean.

I m not cheap B .... but paying parking 10 pounds for half a day is joke .... Hotel could use bar ( with alcohol )

Despite having booked a room with a single bed, at arrival, the staff decided to upgrade my room for no extra charge. So clean and staff was so helpful when having to book a pre boom a taxi.

Nothing to complain.
Location is great, just 5 min. away from the train and bus station. Staff was very nice, hotel room was spacious and very clean! Excellent value for money. It's my second time staying here and I would definitely book again.

Not easy to locate at night walking from the train station
The staff. From the young guy who was on night duty who went out of his way to help me charge my iphone, to the reception staff in the morning, and even a security guard who came chasing after me when I left because he was worried I was going in the wrong direction, they were all so fantastically customer focused. They more than compensated for what is a tired looking city centre property.

The hotel is OK, rooms are clean, warm and have aircon convenient for the summer months. Bed was comfortable. Its a very convenient place to stay before/after flight. There are shops and restaurants nearby. UBER to the airport was between £10 to £12 every time.

We got a very nice family room big but one bed was the couch pulled out I didn't like this and the bathroom door opened out to the hallway from the inside but I didn't like that either, they did shoe me the other family room it was very compact so we stayed where we were if I was staying longer think I would have moved. It suited us to have it was like 2 rooms but it was a suite with the couch as a bed
The staff were very nice and having tea and coffee at anytime free was amazing

Car park payments.it should be free on a first come, first serve basis because of your limited spaces. It would have been nice to have tea/coffee facilities in the room,as most people are awake before breakfast time starts,and like a refreshment. A top sheet would have been nice, as you get too hot under the quilt,an extra blanket should be there if it should get too cold elderly people feel cold more than us. extra pillows.my partner likes two.but I found the pillows uncomfortable.I felt like my head was on a brick they were too hard for me. Breakfast,well, no juice, and I had to ask for more milk the set up was a bit chaotic,I think tea and coffee machines should be moved to a different area, having them next to reception isn't a good . We would stay again,location and price not too bad

Take away breakfast was poor 3 pastries with nothing else in the bag the other bag had the same 3 pastries with 1 butter and a marmalade.

Location - booked a Saturday night and you can hear a club or late night pub into the small hours. The hotel seemed to “squeak”; the doors, windows and floor at some point! Bathroom was tiny and could do with an update.
Location - perfect for being in the town centre and shopping mall and restaurants.
