Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomWe knew the Location of Falkland as being a quaint and old historic Village/town and chose it particularly. We were renting a Villa For our whole family and it was perfect for our requirements but had charm too. I would book it again.

United KingdomThe rooms were spread across 3 levels (originally more than one property?) which we coped with but for anyone less able this could be an issue. The kitchen was isolated from the rest of the rooms and had no phone signal or WiFi though it is where you'd generally spend time. Although generally well equipped a chopping board and a stick blender would be helpful. (The glass one is more of a worktop protector and blunts knives). We could find no instructions for hob or for where the bins were. Usually properies have an information book. One of the bedrooms had a blindingly bright glass shaded lamp by the bed which we swapped with the more suitable one from the study area. The double ensuite bedroom at the far end has a radiator that couldn't be turned off and the room was very hot and impossible to sleep in. Thankfully I managed to open the window on second night. The property was very warm and not all radiators could be turned down and most windows couldn't be opened. Notably the radiator in that bedroom with no controls and the one at the top of the stair at the kitchen end of the house - even when turned to cold it blasted heat. We felt that the cost of this overheating would be considerable. On arrival we had no need to access the keysafe because someone was there at 4pm to let my friends in. However on leaving, the Key code supplied didn't allow us to deposit the keys so I let Christina know by message and popped then through the letter box.
Falkland is a lovely wee village with shops, pubs and beautiful walks on the doorstep. The property was comfortably furnished and clean and well equipped. My friends enjoyed the welcome bottle of Prosecco. The beds were very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay.
