The bathroom was a little dated and the shower didn’t work but it did not take away from our experience. We had a bath instead!

It was a lively vibe when you walked into the property! The staff were friendly and could not do enough for us! We were travelling with a dog and they made him so welcome and there was even a doggy menu!! Thanks everyone x

Had a power cut first thing Monday morning in the bedrooms.Nobody around to fix it.Cooked breakfast really nice but no choices for breakfast,no cereals etc.No tomato sauce,no jam,no marmalade and just 1 round toast. There was only one lady doing everything.Bit dissapointed that they didn't do evening meals on Sunday night.

Liked the location. Staff were nice.My daughtet stayed an extra night, had evening meal that was lovely she said.

The shower wasn’t great - difficult to control. The heating wasn’t on, despite it being a very cold weekend in April

Plentyn of parking. Close to an interesting Norman castle. Liked watching the ducks and swans in the moat. Good menu and choice of drinks. Helpful and friendly staff.

The only thing that we would say is about the drinks offered with breakfast. One of us had tea and the other coffee. Only issue is that whilst the tea drinker got two cups from the pot the coffee drinker only got one cup and it would be good to maybe offer a second cup for the coffee drinker as they could certainly have done with one.

The breakfast choice was good and catered for those with larger or smaller appetites. The ability to request a late check-in was very useful to us as we had to travel 4 and half hours to get there. The room was exactly as advertised and ideal for the family visit we were attending. Knowing the area we knew road noise could be an issue and my only comment would be to make sure the secondary double glazing is closed as we only realised this on our second night and it was much quieter.

    NO issues really

Location was very picturesque in a charming village opposite Whittington castle . The staff were very friendly and the young man who booked us in took great pride in his work. And advised us on surrounding areas well with a visit to Ellesmere. Food was very nice and maybe try the bootiful breakfast amazing . We Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Hot water out of tap in sink was non existent, road noise high because we had to have the window open at night as it was that hot in the room in April. Food was excellent in the pubb but an hour and 15 minutes from ordering was too long and they don't have enough staff to covder the menu or size of the hotel.

The village was lovely. room was nice, they accepted dogs.
