We had 2 nights at Plataran Komodo and it was the most enjoyable stay throughout our whole Indonesia trip . The whole crew at the resort , especially our butler Daniel took really good care of us . Plus , the food at both Atlantis on the rock and Xanadu is really tasty . The afternoon tea is lovely and sweet . The sunset at Atlantis and the jetty is stunning . We basically loved everything during our stay here . We'd wanna come back to Plataran Komodo when we visit Komodo again .

Nothing - it was a great stay.

The hotel was beautiful. Our villa was huge and the bathroom was as big as the room. The complimentary mini bar/water was great and the complimentary afternoon tea was also wonderful. The breakfast the next morning was a la carte and included and was very good.

Nothing, we weren’t able to do many activities due to weather but that’s to be expected as we went during shoulder season. Communication issues with the butler once or twice, but nothing out of the ordinary.

We love everything about the resort - very friendly staff (especially our butler Danniel) and great hospitality. They go beyond our expectations with surprises for our son who celebrated his 10th birthday there. We feel like home.

It felt really exclusive. There were only 16 villas in the whole property, run by a crew of 130 staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Loved everything about it -- the breakfast, the beach, the sunset, the afternoon tea, size of the villas,... The locals will tell you that the property is 'very remote', but it's only 15 mins drive away from the city centre. For the serenity and private beach, it is worth it.

Food was very average. Table cloths dirty. Menus tatty. Music playing all day everywhere including the beach. Water sport equipment old and tatty.

The beach is MEH. Corals in very bad shape. No where close to a paradise experience. Sorry just being honest here. When booking a spa treatment, it would be best to advise there is a 21% service charge added to the quoted price. That is a bit sneaky! Finally, this place is extremely OVERPRICED for what you get. $400 USD+/night. It’s not the 4 seasons.

The trash on the beach and in the water. I understand it just floats in but it doesn’t seem like it would be hard to just keep the front of the resort cleaned. Some of the activities they say they offer the staff had no idea where they were located or offered

The property was amazing with a beautiful private beach with crystal clear water and amazing facilities. The rooms are beautiful and blend in nicely with nature. You also get a private concierge, we had Glenn who was super helpful and responsive.

The resort was brilliant and the staff were so amazing! We witnessed a truly horrible German couple complain to the restaurant staff for over half an hour about their meal so they could get a free upgrade while we were at the restaurant on our first night. The German couple should be ashamed of themselves and I hope they read this along with everyone else. It was so upsetting to see such privileged tourists be so horrible to the nicest staff we have ever come across. The staff handled those disrespectful guest so well even after the guest threatened a bad review, in a very obvious bid to get a free upgrade. The resort was beautiful and clean on the most beautiful beach front. It was very very special. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for the most relaxing holiday in a stunning location and want to publicly thank the staff for a great time and amazing service.

The only things are small, but add up, airport transfers are not included & are very expensive compared to getting your own.

DO NOT Stay anywhere else. The price you will pay includes all of the extras that will cost extra when staying elsewhere. Service, accommodation down to beach bag in wardrobe to use.... every single detail is spot on. We stayed 3 nights, then moved on to Seraya Island, staying at Sudamala for 3 nights.... we stayed 1 night then repayed to stay at Plataran for the other 2 nights as we were so disappointed in the next place.

It is an absolutely fantastic resort. Our villa was on the beach and it felt like paradise. Staff was absolutely fantastic , especially our "butler" Saphira who secured that our stay was fantastic from the first minute we entered the resort to the end that came to quickly. Our villa was wonderful in design and comfort. I could not think of a better place to stay at. The whole family would love to go back anytime. I can only recommend it!

the property itself is perfect, unfortunately the paradise around is ruined by the plastic and the garbage coming with the sea. it’s unbelievable that a spectacular place like that is treated that way. the staff of the hotel is continuously taking care of the beach but they cannot be left alone fighting against that issue!
