The location is a but sketchy but when you’re inside, it’s a totally different world.

It’s definitely a party hostel! You can hear the music in your room. People come back late and it can get noisy when they drunk and have to get up early trouble hearing their alarm. People also were still sleeping on the sofas in the common area close to the kitchen or still listening to loud music on the screen in the morning.

The hostel has a common area and free water. The beds have curtains and a fan. Bathroom was clean. It’s in east Bandra walking distance from the bus stop and metro.

The whole place is oozing with artistic vibes—from the decor to the people. It's not just a hostel, it's an experience. The staff is pure gold—big love to Devidas ji, Raj, and Ashish for being so helpful, humble, and always ready to assist. They genuinely make you feel at home, not just like a guest. And then there's Ruturaj ji, the owner. What a legend! This guy is sexy, classy, stylish—but with zero ego. Honestly, one of the most down-to-earth and humble souls I’ve ever met. He took the time to vibe with me, appreciated my freestyle rap, and as a token of love, gifted me 2 free nights on my 8th booking. Who does that? Only someone with a real heart and pure passion for what he does. If you're a traveler, artist, or just someone looking for connection and creativity, Forrest Hostel is your spot in Mumbai. Can’t recommend it enough. 10/10. Will return. Will freestyle again. Will vibe forever.

I had an amazing stay at this hostel! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to offer tips on local attractions and transport. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. I especially appreciated the common areas, which made it easy to meet other travelers. The location was perfect—close to restaurants, public transport, and key sights. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for affordable, quality accommodation!

The pantry service needs a, slight improvement.

The upkeep is excellent, specifically the wash room. The, readymade tea pouch can be kept in the pantry. Rest all good. The staff is very polite and cooperative.

- If you use busses or taxis the location is great. Bit far from a train station - best water pressure in shower I’ve had in the whole of India.

The fish market nearby but the staff ensures it's always neat and smelling good in the inside. Also the common area needs proper ventilation so that the smoke from cigarette dont choke you ;)

Check-in took a long time as the receptionist was nowhere to be found. The area of the hostel is not convincing - however there’s Uber so not an issue.

One of the better hostels in India. Sufficient privacy, mostly clean. The common area is nice.

This is a very special hostel and location.the beds were very comfortable. Every bed has its own fan and there is AC at the night. This was a bit annoying because other guests used their fan on the highest level during the night, which is very loud. I stayed a few hours longer after checkout in the common area, which was ok. I didn't feel very welcome after checkout though. I liked the location at this little market street. Was very authentic.

I'm a five time guest, here are some of the things I love about this hostel: The attention to detail, super clean, hot showers, enormous co-ed bathroom (the way it should be in a hostel), helpful staff, 15-min walk to the local train station (Bandra Terminus), 30 min train to Gateway of India, plenty of spaces to chill, not-one-but-TWO common rooms, and really cool guests (seriously, even during short stays I can find people to hang-out with...)
