Cost is very high. We could only afford one day!

Everything was great. Service and staff was amazing. The manager annd everyone in staff was very well trained and knew their job. Food was awesome.

Room 120 right next to the reception lobby was very noisy. The echoing sounds of constant shouting etc continued until almost midnight which is a bit frustrating when getting up at 04.30. We were a bit baffled by the request to be in the main bar area by no later than 5am for the sunrise Taj Mahal visit. We presumed there was some sort of organised process. This time seemed to be purely to provide tea/coffee etc which we didn’t want. After waiting around for a bit we asked the concierge when we would be travelling to the Taj, to be told “whenever you like!”. So essentially we could’ve had either an extra half an hour sleep or headed to the Taj Mahal half an hour earlier rather than sitting around!

The Amarvilas is an exceptional hotel. The view from all aspects is spectacular. We were lucky enough to have large balconies with views of the pool area and Taj Mahal. The property itself is spotlessly clean. Room are very large and everything has been thought of for a comfortable stay! Beds super comfortable. Bar and restaurants v high quality. Staff wonderful and so helpful. We also loved the golf buggy to and from the Taj Mahal itself.

we had an excellent stay of 5 nights...superb location with a view of tajmahal...the staff takes extra care to make the guest comfortable in every possible way...chef kushagra assisted us with our food and was always there to meet our special requests...Nihal dave at the bar served excellent cocktails and firdoush rishi in the restaurant served us with utmost care and sincerity...excellent vacation and thanks to the whole team for the same...

Absolutely nothing

I cannot recommend this hotel enough!! Honestly, if you’re wondering whether to book it or maybe choose a slightly more budget-friendly option, my advice is go ahead & book it. It’s more than a hotel but an experience Outstanding in all aspects Overwhelming hospitality Best views of Taj Mahal & most convenient for visiting. Great attention to details including a 5 am light snack bar & coffee for those visiting the Mahal with sunrise We were offered a free room upgrade, late check-out, & enjoyed our stay fully Thank you to the wonderful staff

Everything. The hotel is just amazing with stunning views of the Taj Mahal from every room. We got a room on the 4th floor and woke up to the view of Taj every day. The staff was just amazing. Truely 5 star. They were polite and were helpful for request. Definitely would go back and stay again.

Where to begin!? We arrived in india after spending 2 weeks hiking in the Himalayas completing Everest Base Camp. It’s safe to say that we were desperate for some luxury in our lives! As soon as we arrived at the Oberoi, we were made to feel like the most special people on the planet. We were warmly welcomed by Ishika who checked us in and showed us our room. We were instantly blown away by the beautiful decor and the friendliness and professionalism of all staff members. In the afternoon, we enjoyed some time in the beautiful pool. Before we even sat down, the butlers had placed 2 fresh towels on our lounger and given us a cool box full of ice water. Next we went to our room, which was exceptional. We were upgraded to a room with a balcony overlooking the Taj. We were showered with small gifts, butler service and any help we could possibly think of. We could even pick our favourite kind of pillow from the pillow menu! Whilst we were at the Indian cuisine restaurant (which was out of this world) the butler team ‘turned down’ our room and got it all cosy for our sleep. We had local and live entertainment as the sunset and whilst we ate dinner. Never in our lives did we think that we would be the kind of people who spend S$500 a night on a hotel but the Oberoi is an experience like no other. This is the best value for money we have ever spent and we are already planning our next stay at another Oberoi hotel. If you are thinking of visiting the Taj Mahal, there is no question that you should book this hotel. It has been one of the most fabulous days of our lives. Thank you so much!

Upon arriving at the hotel, the woman who received my wife, my daughter, and I necessarily asked for a visa. As a diplomat recently arrived in India, my visa is being processed, but that does not prevent me from visiting her country. It was a very unpleasant gesture and embarrassing for our family, they should better prepare their staff to know those particular details in attention to diplomatic personnel.
