The rooms need renovation, and the sofa is completely worn out. When we checked in, the room was very cold. There are heaters, but it takes time for the room to warm up. Breakfast starts at 8am and it is very crowded at that time.

Overall, the hotel is good, but definitely overrated.

Property needs a little smartening up / TLC. Inadequate lighting in both room and bathroom even at midsummer, room unheated prior to arrival- temperatures 8C , packaged white bread for breakfast despite proximity of supermarkets with an array of bread types.in Vik.

Location with beautiful views and peace, comfortable bed and excellent quilt.

The rooms in the main house can be a bit noisy and smelly in the evening as this is when everybody comes back from their hikes and tours to have dinner in the kitchen and dining area. I would just make sure to choose their rooms with private bathrooms as those are separate to the main house ;)

Location was ideal, many walks and hiking trails close by, as well as only a short drive to the highlands. Great response from the hotel and staffs for any queries and concerns. Guesthouse with plenty of charm and beautiful views. Rooms are cosy with all amenities needed and good breakfast before setting off for the day.

The location was very remote and you had to drive in the sand and Stones for 7 kms. That's the only disadvantage I can think of.

We were lucky to be the only ones sleeping in the guest house as the noise travels easily from the kitchen to the rooms which is a shared space

Our stay at the cottage was delightful. The cottage was spacious and beautifully decorated, with an incredible view. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!

The room and bathroom were a bit dark, some brighter lighting would have been nice.

Beautiful location, view of the glacier, grazing sheep, perfect relaxation. Good breakfast, friendly staff. Easy self-service check-in. Nicely decorated rooms, clean. Pleasant price. Our best accommodation in Iceland.

It was really windy and the walls are thin, so a bit noisy and drafty overnight. There was a wall-mounted radiator and a small electric space heater, though, so we were warm enough. Lighting in bathroom isn’t great Bathroom sink is tiny.

I don't often give straight 10s but this is one. Absolutely great experience. Beautiful, quiet location with Glacier views, comfortable, clean, modern room with a good size and nice decor. Great staff, very friendly, accommodating and helpful. Unexpectedly we got a beautiful lamb soup for dinner and also had a lovely breakfast in the nicely decorated common room

Few more towels and more light in the bathroom would be a great addition.

Our room had an incredible view. Hotel’s location is very scenery. We also enjoyed a light but very nice breakfast. The highlight of our stay was the heaters in the room, we had plenty of space to dry our wet clothes and also keep the room warm.

Room was too hot. No one on site to contact. Breakfast was ok

The shower was amazing! Great water pressure and heat. The room was pretty and clean but VERY hot. We had to sleep with the door and windows both wide open to make it bearable, and there was no one to contact on site (had to call and we didn’t have cell phone service to make a call).

We had 3 people in a room with one on the sofa bed. It was not very comfortable. The bed itself was great!

The guesthouse exceeded our expectations! Although the drive there was a bit rough due to unpaved roads, it was still very easy to reach during May. The location is amazing, away from main roads, on top of a hill with views as far as you can see surrounded by nothing but quietness. The room was very nice, had everything we needed for our stay and the big windows overlooking nature were so enjoyable!

We got caught out by the weather and ability to get hot food or to purchase goods to cook would improve. When booking we were expected to be able to get a meal at the guest house. We were not aware it had changed hands with the original owners passion for food and hospitality being central to this. Both hosts were really lovely but the passion from the lady host was lovely.

Location and homeliness Furnishing in rooms and main guest house. Do not change to the main guest house to some neutral decor. The rustic feel is wonderful.

With no cell service, not knowing the internet was into until arrival was problematic. We couldn’t make reservations for the next days activities until we drove into cell service.

Very quaint. Fantastic breakfast.
