The bathroom had a draft, from the flush valve on the wall - and its at the most inconvenient spot - literally cold air blowing on your back.

Location and the super helpfulness of Lisa - the receptionist. The room had a view of the bay and it was awesome.

The room was ok, but there was no phone, lack of light, no shower things like shampoo and like that wich was said to bee, strange stairs up to room, the internet was poor and the television did not work. There was very glat in front of the head door.

The room was very nice and clean. I had a balcony overlooking the ocean. The staff were wonderful, and suggested places to go eat or entertain myself. They arranged a ride to the airport, and then rearranged it for me twice to fit my travel needs which was phenomenal! The breakfast was adequate—nice coffee and quite a few cold options.

Umm.. - well other reviews said, not well-lid. Maybe true for the bath room, but not a problem for me. - True, no lift to get to upper floor, but again, not a problem for me. I was aware, and many old building in town area are like this. - not sure about noise, because at the time I arrived, the whole street was closed down and I didn't hear anything, lol. - Probably the reason for lower scores in other review is the price. Maybe high price and people are not as forgiving on any spot of mistakes. IMO, it is much higher compared to other places in Iceland that I have been through around >20 days. Not sure whether because of location in town area, which is not my value anyway as I don't go to bar much.

Well, other reviews are really scary, with pictures as evidence, etc. I didn't have much choice on the day so I had to book this hotel. Found out that it wasn't as bad as what I feel from other reviews. Maybe just something in the past that has been improved. For me, this happened: - I arrived late at night, informed the host, and she waited for me to check-in. Door opened right when taxi stopped, so I was probably the last check-in there. She explained things to me politely. - Room was good enough, old windows with a bit of mold on edge. But it is the same as other places in Iceland. In the end, I had a good night sleep.

No lift

The view was lovely and the location fabulous for Keflavik airport but third floor with no lift for heavy bags was a pita. The breakfast was adequate…just. Nonetheless it was great value.

Extremely helpful staff, who advised us to arrive at the airport as early as possible as they were aware there were flight cancellations and have heard people had difficulties getting through security. Breakfast is available in the early hours even at 4am which was amazing as it felt like we weren't missing out even if you had to leave early to the airport. Only 10mins drive to the airport. Plenty of places to eat around the hotel.

Pretty dated hotel but rather clean. Ok for few hours before the flight. Balcony (street view) not really for use as there was nothing to sit on it and the floor is just a concrete so no option to go out without shoes.

No elevator...we had heavy bags.... and when we were ready to leave we were actually locked out of main entrance....no big deal as there was another staff to let us out but we had to call him to let us out.

check in was easy enough. Parking out front of hotel was convenient and free. We did not get to enjoy much more of the hotel as we checked in and found a place for dinner, early night as we had a very early morning departure. Best part is that we were so close to the airport and we kept our car until the morning we flew out so VERY convenient for us!

There was lots of traffic noise from the street and hallway noise from late arriving guests.

Location was convenient to airport. We were able to check in early for a reasonable fee. That was great to get a nap after little sleep during the overnight flight. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was decent.

Very noisy. I could hear the drunk people next to us trying to plug in their electronics at 1 in the AM. Very unresponsive staff. I emailed numerous times asking them to confirm the availability of their advertised free shuttle to the airport. But they never got back to me..As a result we had to keep our rental car another day. Ugly scary outside of building. Neighborhood looked “questionable.” Tiny bedroom.

Only since you asked...Our room was on the street side, so it was noisy and we were also right next to the stairwell. Additionally, some party folks were making quite a racket in the wee hours of the morning. Housekeeping knocked at 8 a.m., far too early. Rooms should have "do not disturb" hang tags for the door. And, maybe most important the room should have a coffee maker!

The beds were very comfortable. The room was spacious, comfortable, and close to the airport. It was also conveniently located to restaurants, etc. I peeked in an open room on the water side and will be sure to ask for a room on that side should we return.

3 story building with no elevator. Cheaper rooms are upstairs. Not fun if you have heavy luggage. No dedicated parking lot - parking is street side and room for a handful behind the building. For late arrival, should be able to find a spot in front. Breakfast is European basic, not great.

Close to airport - 10 minutes away. Good only if you have a late arrival or early departure. Iceland-reasonable price.
