I did think twice after booking but no need the property is in the best location easy walk from the station 6 mins and 20 metres from piazza napoleon through “the wall”

The staff were all fantastic, very friendly and helpful, especially Alesia and Nicole. We enjoyed the choices at breakfast and having a glass of wine in the garden before dinner. Even though we were staying in the annex, the room was perfect. We received very good recommendations for dinner from Nicolo too. The location of the Albergo was perfect for exploring the city as well as attending the Puccini concert.

Thought our mattress was too hard but this is only my opinion and not a real issue overall.

Good location, quiet but central area. Very friendly and helpful staff. We stayed in the annexe, large nicely decorated room. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom, all very clean. Good selection for breakfast, plenty of choice and fresh coffee.

It was centrally located, quite charming and a great staff. Very pleased with ability to park inside walls safely. We had lovely breakfasts and everything was close-by.

The whole place was amazing but the bed was a bit hard for me and I would have liked a few more pillows on the bed (there were only 2).

The staff, especially Claudia, was so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was incredible, the room was pretty big and quiet (but you could hear hallway noise) with a small fridge, tv and sitting couch, and the location just inside the walls was perfect. We also appreciated the dedicated parking spot in their lot. We were also grateful they were dog friendly as we always bring ours.

A hotel with character, all the decoration and utensils are very tasteful. Comfortable and spacious room, very good bed and pillows; bathroom too. Very good breakfast. Wi-Fi fully working. Fabrizio and his colleagues are extremely helpful and kind. The best option in Lucca, I presume.

The Albergo San Martino is a real jewel and the staff is very friendly and helpful. We stayed there for 3 nights and enjoyed it a lot - also our little daughter was very happy and the staff was just great with her running around all over the place. The location is great - easy to reach by car and close to the center and the wall to explore Lucca by foot. Our room was clean and neat and we are looking forward to return to Luca and the Albergo San Martino.

Comfortable, clean and spacious room. Excellent breakfast choices and very helpful staff. We were also able to store our luggage for free at the hotel when we arrived early and also on the day of check-out when we decided to take a quick day-trip to Pisa. The location is ideal - inside the historical center, very close to the walls of Lucca where you can enjoy a peaceful walk on the promenade, and an easy walking distance to all sights of Lucca. We stayed in the triple room - a very spacious unit with a double bed in one room and a single bed in another room which is part of the same triple room unit. The AC was not very effective in the room with the double bed but since we were staying for only one night, we didn't bring it up. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Like in all Italy best to have a small car to get around the narrow streets for parking and glad I had hubby to do the driving and navigate the tight corners that are everywhere in Italy. Worth it to have everything on your doorstep.

Very welcoming at reception which was lovely. Location is just spot on, everything within a short walk away, ideal to get to see Lucca on a quick visit.

The only downside was that front door (suggestion: how about a sign asking visitors to show some consideration?).

ASM is in a great position to visit Lucca, it is just inside the wall and set back from the streets. We stayed in the annex which was nice, the only downside for us was that our room was next to the entrance door and it appeared to me that most people just let the door slam which caused a massive noise and vibration in our room, which can be jolly annoying at 2am. But apart from that gripe, the staff were great, the breakfast was fine, with a fair choice of food. The hotel was also a nice place to have a early evening drink as you could sit outside in a shady area.
