Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyFar from the center and metro station, but it was convenient for what I needed. Biggest issue is the air conditioning, you can’t turn it on/off from the room (it automatically starts again after 5min). I had to call the reception every time to turn it on/off and adjust the temperature…
Room is nice, price is good, shower and bed are comfortable. Clean.

Nice location, in the residental area, close to city centre - bus no. 708 to first metro connection EUR PALASPORT and 078 to train station, where you can easily reach the beach Ostia (16 minutes). Rooms are clean, but without any balcony. Brealfast-Italian but delicious.

There is a nice sport facility nearby although it is not part of the property. The restaurant there is really good and there is a nice pool space.

SwedenNice place but with very strange 'rules'. You had to book a slot for the pool and wear a bathing hat (which you couldn't buy at the place as there was no shop), if you came after 9.30 for breakfast there was a charge (even if they closed at 10.00). Nice facilities but very strange rules.

United KingdomSet up for breakfast was strange. We were expecting a buffet but you had to order at the bar. Shame the gym wasn’t in the main building and wasn’t clear that you had to book beforehand so ended up having to go back and forth between the hotel and the gym to book and use it etc.
Beautiful hotel and the staff were very polite and helpful. The breakfast was nice and all the common comforts were provided (towels, the tiny shampoos etc). Staff went out of their way to make sure my mum could get a message even though it was after our check out time and we were allowed a late checkout with no extra charge.

IsraelVery very far from Roma centre. You need to take bus + metro to the centre and to the airport (and all places you want to go) it is take more than a hour. Before I come i ask to cancel because I understand it is so far from the centre but they refuse . They don’t understand my request in the app .

IrelandStaff have no time for you,we checked in and were just given our room key. We got no information on breakfast or the spa facilities . We did receive something from the hotel in Italian and when I asked for it in English I received it 2 days after I had checked out. When we wanted to go to the spa we were told we can only go for one hour as check out was 11am and we could not go after 11am , no one shared this information with us. Breakfast was quite poor and the lunch over in the sports centre was even worse. I was charged 15e for a hamburger with no bun and chips . You were made feel like a right inconvenience. Granted I know the area is not tourist and maybe more for locals but it was close to the airport so we stayed one night. No excuse really for poor service all the same. The room was 180e a night and came with 4 softdrinks in your mini bar, spa access and breakfast. They claimed to have a jet tub included, although outdated we gave it a try and sure they didn't work , the shower head kept popping off too. The heat in the room was insane and there's no latch for the window to have it slightly open, but couldn't have it wide open either as it would slam. Not worth it in the slightest in my opinion , I'd not recommend or ever return.
Spa facilities are decent

IrelandWe had to pay an additional 30 euro each for the spa in the leisure centre. It was really nice but a bit pricey. Other than that, facilities were great.
Staff were extremely helpful, Breakfast was lovely The hotel was a 40 minute public transport ride from the city but we liked that it was in a quieter more relaxed area. Cheaper area too

NetherlandsHalf the facilities aren’t available for guests but rather reserved for local sport clubs. The restaurant is basically a sports canteen with terribly poor service, food selection and unmannered staff. This also applies to the hotel. The food you can get is at best eatable. The neighborhood is a completely run down place with litter all over the place, closed shops, holes in the roads and sidewalks. Locals either don’t seem to care or have given up on the situation entirely. Don’t waste your time and money here. Go for something else instead.
The hotel itself was clean and well maintained. The rooms were fine and the free minibar is a nice plus.

ItalyThe place is a maze and no signs to the various places (garage, pool etc) The bathroom door reminded me of a motel for the material and let the light through from the bathroom window; there was a blind but the cord was broken The towels (all of them) had a stale smell as if they had not been washed properly The pool (the only one available to children) belongs to the nearby sports centre so it was full of people and cost €15 per person for a single entrance, including children (Aquafan in Riccione, for comparison, costs less than 30)
The staff was helpful and kind Location was convenient - short drive to metro station with ample and cheap car park

United Arab EmiratesYou cannot drive into the hotel but need to leave car outside and drag your baggage for several metres. The hotel is adjacent to the gym and swimming pools but those are not accessible directly. You need to walk out on the street and walk down the road. Only a few metres but seriously inconvenient. The staff is very slow and rude. the very small bar at reception has very little to offer and it is always unmanned. The air conditioning in the common area not sufficient to maintain a comfortable temp.
