Initially appears to be a very rustic property inside. Within a very short time you quickly realise the property is totally impractical and the charm of the property diminishes completely. The pictures in the website are very deceptive. The Kitchen if you could call it that is tiny and virtually nothing in it. A tiny hob and a difficult corner to access and a stone sink so shallow the water splashes over you. We didn’t use the kitchen as a result. Fridge was in a dark and untidy cupboard with the boiler. Entrance room appears like a mismatch of acquired and various coloured furniture and resembles an outward bound sitting area. All seat uncomfortable so didn’t use that space at all. Bedroom bedding looked old and scruffy. Bedroom window very large but totally bricked up with small bro on holes here and there so view impossible to see. Bathroom and fittings very old in appearance. We were left an eclectic mix of towels which was odd. The shower was so small you had to hold the shampoo or so as there was no room to bend down with hitting your head on the wall or your backside on the glass. I’m 5’9” and my wife 5’5” for reference. The kit Henson area was in the lower level and very dark so we didn’t use that area either. The TV was in that room. The inside of the property just appeared to be a randomly converted barn building. Externally the grounds that were described as beautiful were unkempt, weeds growing to again height all over, hedges left to over grow and the terracotta patio was very dirty and in real need of a power wash and clean. The BBQ had clearly been used at some point in the past but hadn’t been cleaned as there was old food grease all over it. The loungers were grey in colour due to ingrained dirt and should be white. In short it felt like the property hadn’t been used in a long time and that we had caught the renters out. Also it was like walking into someone private family holiday let with all their personal things.
