How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Window from our room was to courtyard, not so far from neighbour´s window, not annyoining. Also shared kitchen was little bit surprised, although for us it wasnt a problem because of few guests in one moment. Maybe this is somwhere in accommodation description but I havent seen it. Bigger sharp knife would be appreciated. :)
Room equipment was clean and comfortable. 20-30 mins from Colosseum on foot, 15 mins to metro, 10 mins to supermarket.

It was a little out of the city so be prepared to walk a lot and get a public transport pass to access the main attractions in the city

Scope for improvement : Bathroom is bit small to have shower, Better it would be good to have some separation when bathing which completely covers else lots of water is coming out and complete bathroom is filled with water.

The kitchen which was supposed to be a common area ended up being occupied by a guest one night and was very awkward and inconvenient as we were a self catering family.

We had a very pleasant stay, the room is impecable, very spacious and with air conditioner. The staff was really kind and helpful with us, the location is great with a lot of bus stops, restaurants and distance walking attractions. We totally recommend it!

There was a lot of candy displayed at the reception. One of my teenage children - despite all my requests - stuffed himself with them and was sick with an upset stomach for 1.5 days. This overshadowed our trip to Rome. I recommend that you only place 1 grain of candy or chocolate on the pillow if you want to be kind. It's in the basement, so it's a bit dark
San Giovanni metro station is in walking distance.

Very nice and big room with a private bathroom😊 Room was clean and looked as good as on the pics. Location was good and quite easy to find parking on the street, night time for free and daytime 1eur/h. We enjoyed our stay, thank you!

Communication was great. Location was good as well, bus routes to the centre of Rome all close, and about 30 minute walk to Colliseum and Forum. Nice restaurants and cafes close by

Our blanket was dirty and the walls are very, very thin - maybe not the best location for light sleepers.
The location is good, the place is organized in a very practical way and the host was very kind to let us store our bicycles after we checked out.

I think the kitchen lacks some kitchenware. 2 good knifes would suffice to make it better. But that's the only thing I can point out as something to improve.
Good location near a supermarket and transports. The beds were really comfortable and the bathroom was great. You can adjust the room temperature as you please (warm or cold), which is a rare characteristic to find in my opinion. The staff is really helpful and nice. Really great price-quality relation. The host is also ready to reply to any question the guest might have.
