Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

New ZealandGetting woken just after 7am by staff coming to use washing machine outside our room.
Location was ideal for exploring local eats, night markets, ferries and trains. We had breakfast provided in a self service kitchen which was great. Instructions to get into unit were easy. Everything was clean and tidy. One thing ‐ make sure accommodation follows up on and acknowledges requests. We asked for twin beds prior to stay, got a response that was ok but then had to ask again when we arrived as it was still a large bed and it stayed that way for the duration

United StatesWe were originally placed into a much bigger room with a terrace. within 5 minutes, we were switched to another smaller room, with no balcony. we would have stayed several days longer had we had the other room. there were no other guests in the flat the evening we stayed, so being trown out of the nicer room was extra-disappointing.
The staff and the location were fantastic. It was nice to have access to a well-stocked kitchen.

Our room/apt is at the top floor attic room which seems doesn’t have a real roof/insulation, as you can hear the noise from outside very clear, and the room gets hot quickly. it’s very small, without any serious window except the one on the ceiling.
The place located in the old town and is very close to the train station. There’s AC at the room. The people working there are friendly.

ArubaThe owner didn’t check our check out day and was knocking the door many times just the day we had a late sleep . he thought we were about to do the check out that day and was two days later . The bed it’s uncomfortable and the bathroom smells bad.
The property has a great location , kinda old and small .
