Visiting Bologna and heard about the Truffle Festival in Savigno, so decided to book last-minute. What a surprise to find such a gem of a B&B located in the hills above the town. The house is quintessentially Italian. Elegant and simply beautiful. My room, Peonia, was very comfortable. A very large bedroom, with a spectacular view towards the hills and a luxurious en-suite bathroom. Breakfast was a feast, served with kindness by the lovely hosts. I loved everything and will definitely come back for longer next time.

Our stay at Casa Stella was really one of a kind. It is actually a place you want to keep to yourself. Like a little treasure. The history of the house, the nicely decorated rooms with love for past times, the breakfast with delicious cappuci's and home baked crostata. It all fitted into our Italian dream. Massimo and Ryan made us really feel at home. They were so kind and considerate. We made warm memories at the local town of Savigno and surroundings. But there is so much more to see and do. We will absolutely return!

We had nothing we disliked!

We just loved everything about our stay at Casa Stella! The house is lovely, centuries old, surrounded by beautiful countryside and offering lovely gardens and a wonderful swimming pool….and of course a scrumptious breakfast each morning with yogurt dnd cheese from a nearby caseificio, freshly baked croissants and breads, a platter of delicious cured meats, fruit, and home-baked coffee cake. We couldn’t have asked for a better accommodation in which to spend several days in the area. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with lovely, antique furnishings, and with  a modern, well-appointed bath. We loved the traditional, antique wooden shutters which blocked out the heat of the day, and opened to reveal a lovely view of the hills and countryside. Above all, however, it is the hosts, Massimo and Rion, who made our time there so special. They made us feel as if we were members of the family who had returned home for a visit! Welcoming us warmly, they were always ready with great suggestions for places to visit and things to see on our daily wanderings; and with wonderful recommendations for restaurants for each evening. (And an additional thank you to Barbara, who was so helpful and attentive. ) We were so sorry when it was time to leave, and we are already planning our return visit to Casa Stella!

Casa Stella Country House is the most wonderful and quiet place to stay. The extraordinary sympathetic hosts Massimo and Ryan gave us the best service ever. Everything is very clean and the garden provides you with several nice spots to relax. The house is situated in a beautiful landscape with a fantastic view from the pool. We will never forget the breakfast and the useful guidance of the two hosts. This place deserves the best recommendation you can give.

There really isn't anything not to like!

Casa Stella is absolutely superb. We had the most wonderful stay, and would give the whole experience more than 10/10 if we could. The house is beautiful and authentic - great attention to detail has been paid in every respect. The gardens and views are absolutely stunning. Sitting having a very generous and delicious breakfast outside in the morning is a wonderful start to the day, followed by a dip in the immaculate pool or reading in a shady spot in the garden. Savigno town is also lovely, and the local restaurants are fantastic (we chose Amerigo and Mastrosasso, and found both to be excellent). The hosts, however, are the very best thing about Casa Stella. Ryan and Massimo are so helpful and kind. It's evident how much they genuinely care about their guests, and want them to enjoy their stay. Nothing is too much trouble, and they are full of great advice and recommendations. We wish we could have stayed longer, and will certainly go back again in the future. In a nutshell, we could not recommend this place highly enough. Thank you so much.

Ciao Massimo e Ryan! Thank you so much for an incredible stay. We felt so relaxed and well looked after and it was a pleasure to meet you both. You really went above and beyond and we are so grateful. The house and rooms are beautiful (we said many ‘wows’ when being showed round), the garden is stunning, and the pool is a peaceful place to watch the sun set across the valley. We went on some great walks up into the hills and ate very well in the town. We can’t wait to return!

We loved our stay at Casa Bella. Communication with Ryan and Massimo before our stay was excellent, helping us to find and book on to some great activities nearby. The truffle fair in Savigno was a really fun, and somewhat unexpected, cherry on the cake. The room was lovely, with an excellent bathroom.

Our 2 night stay at Casa Stella was truly incredible, we enjoyed every second there. The room was super clean and the bathroom very modern and the whole garden with the great swimming pool (we've honestly never seen such a clean swimming pool before) seemed to be taken straight out of a fairy tale! Apart from that, the breakfast was amazing (coffee, orange juice, delicious homemade cake, croissants, fresh bread and cheese - also meat if you want - and yoghurt and a whole bowl of fruit - and if you are not able to finish everything for breakfast, you can enjoy it later in the garden) and the location is also great - in 10 minutes walking distance you are in a cute town with restaurants ranging from Michelin star level to take away pizza. What is even more outstanding than everything mentioned so far is the hospitality and warmth of the two owners, Massimo and Ryan. Never before have we felt so taken care of, they are really the perfect hosts who go the extra mile and more! Beautiful, quiet, relaxing location. Great breakfast with superb service. Beautiful pool in lovely garden, overlooking fantastic scenery. Savigno is a quiet but welcoming village with an excellent Trattoria, cafe and food shops. Most of all, Ryan and Massimo are amazing, welcoming hosts for whom nothing seemed to be too much trouble. They genuinely have their guests at heart. More like visiting old friends than a B&B. We will definitely return.

If you've read through the reviews, you'll notice that there are virtually no people with anything bad to say about their stay at Casa Stella. When we booked it, we also wondered at the 9,9 rating and how a number like that was possible. Well, now we know. It was the kind of stay that you just wish could never end, and while you're still unpacking your suitcase, you're already making plans for a second visit. The house has a wonderful authentic feel to it. No airconditioning, but thick walls which kept the temperature bearable during the night. A massive bath room as well. But outside is where the true magic of the house lies. A beautiful garden, with several cozy spots to sit down, chill, read a book or talk with a drink in your hand. And at the edge of the garden, overlooking the hills, is the pool. Massimo (one of the hosts) confided to us that Ryan (the other half of this amazing duo) has an obsession with keeping the pool clean, and it showed. It was a perfect rectangle of azure water, where we spent a lot of time relaxing. But honestly, the house could be falling down and the pool leaking and you'd still want to come back, and that's because of Massimo and Ryan, hosts so wonderful they might have stept out of a book. They ooze hospitality in the most relaxed way possible. We had hardly arrived, or Massimo was already on the phone booking us a table at a picturesque restaurant that we'd never have found otherwise. But during breakfast, that was truly his time to shine. My boyfriend still has vivid dreams about the apple cake, made by Massimo's mother. It was the best thing ever. And if you need tips for sightseeing, or anything else really, then he has bucketloads of those too. In conclusion: don't book all at once please, because we still want to have the chance to come back one day.

Casa Stella country house is a magical place. the owners, Massimo and Ryan are incredibly sweet. they will do everything to make you smile, and will check that your stay is the best stay they can offer. the structure is really speciale, full with details and so cure, super clean and profume, the bad is comfortable and the bathroom is so modern. the garden is amazing and the beutiful pool has a viwe of a million dollars. breakfast was with fresh and local products, including home made food. the intimacy the palce offer will make you wanna stay forever. can't wait to go back, to relax again and to hug the owners who leaved a mark on my hurt. I highly recommend!

We were guests with Massimo and Ryan for 10 days in June/July 2022 and I am not exaggerating when I say that for us it was the most extraordinary and most pleasant vacation days ever. The two hosts Massimo and Ryan have managed to create an oasis of calm and well-being. This includes the personal rooms, which are lovingly furnished in a country house style and shine with a great and modern bathroom. The cleanliness cannot be surpassed and the need for fresh towels and cleaning can be chosen by yourself. The dreamlike garden with the 10 m panoramic pool is hard to beat. The pool is cleaned thoroughly every day and is in immaculate condition. The water temperature is a constant 34C, so nothing stands in the way of long relaxation. In the spacious and beautifully landscaped garden, the three tenants can easily avoid each other and there is always a sunny or shady spot available. Best of all, however, is the always friendly, loving and attentive nature of the two hosts. Breakfast is served in a very empathetic and friendly manner and many valuable tips on restaurants and excursion destinations are shared. Their willingness to help was also very pleasant. So everyone can find their individual holiday happiness in this place. We went hiking in the beautiful surroundings and discovered fantastic paths with breathtaking views of the region. The house is beautiful inside and out and has been recently refurbished with an incredible pool with lovely views. Massimo and Ryan are wonderfully helpful hosts, warm and welcoming and always ready to help you plan your day with a wealth of local knowledge. The breakfast is lovely and all sourced locally. There are some great places to eat in town which is a short walk away or you can drive to local agriturismos. You only share the house with a couple of guests making it very relaxing and friendly. We would definitely stay here again.
