The only downside: arriving by car. The apt is in a street not reachable by car, and some of the quartier is ZTL (so you cannot enter with the car if you're not a local). Finding a place to park revealed hard. And the indications given by the hosts could have been more informative.

The place is OK, it's comfortable. The room is spacious, the bathroom is huge. We encountered all we needed for a 2-day stay. I enjoyed the little balcony. IMHO the strongest point about Belle Arti is the location, very near the center, still very quiet, and we felt safe (contrary to other time we stayed in Palermo, we go once in a while since we moved to Sicily 3 years ago). You're inside the Capo quartier, so Mercato del Capo is a stone's throw away.

Little contact with owner so relied on travellers in other unit to get us in. Shower flooded floor. Refrigerator made a loud and constant noise.

The built in speakers in the ceiling meant neighbours blasting music late at night which is fine if you're traveling for leisure or wanna party yourself. However, if you are having a workcation, it is somewhat less than ideal. Mind you, wifi is also quite weak therefore not ideal for work.

The place is well located, easy to access the city and main touristic spots. Apartment itself is well furnished, clean, cozy.

I wish the AC worked better. The seal to the shower has already been addressed by previous person. It’s an easy fix but for some reason still not addressed. That being said, tilt the shower head away from the door and problem solved. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

I absolutely loved my one week stay at this property. It was very clean and up to date furnishings. It had high ceilings and very bright. Lots of plug outlets. The bathroom was quite big. The shower was hot and excellent water pressure. The room had a little balcony that overlooked the street which was great! It was about 5 minutes walk to Cathedral and main strip. It’s also on a quiet narrow street right in the middle of the locals which made the experience even more enjoyable. Lots of small corner stores and restaurants close by. Accessing the apartment was very well orchestrated by the host. The host was always available and replied to any inquiries immediately. I did not cook, but the kitchen seems adequately equipped for light cooking. I would definitely stay at this location again.

The location is great, 5 minutes walk to the Cathedral and historic quarter, yet not a noisy street. Modern décor and furnishings. Clean. Kitchen, oven and fridge. Coffee, sugar provided. Little balcony with chair. My request for an extra blanket was swiftly dealt with. Communication via WhatsApp was good. Panificio and mini markets round the corner. Cafés, gelaterie, restaurants, shops, places of interest 5 - 10 minute walk.

The apartment is located in the zone with limited traffic and very narrow streets. It is not allowed to drive there without special permission. Even if you have the permission, you cannot drive to the entrance of the building at least to offload your luggage from the car. Free street parking is possible on a street that is 2 streets away; however, finding a parking there is very difficult. In the afternoon there were no spots available at all- in the evening we hardly found one spot. Stairs going up to the apartment are narrow and very steep (see pic). It is hard to go up with the luggage. If I knew all these details, I would definitely pay more and book other place. This apartment is good for young people without car and with light luggage. The shower cabin was another disappointment. The sewage was almost clogged. When taking shower the water would stay and overflow from the shower cabin. The cabin is small and no place to put shampoo. You have to bend in tight cabin and put it on the floor that is full of water. There is no shower handle, only shower from the top. No iron in the apartment (to iron a t-shirt quickly) - irons are so cheap nowadays, I am surprised it is such a big deal to put one into the apartment.

The apartment was spacious and clean. There was a descent kitchen. The location is next to the main Cathedral (which is amazing) and 10 minutes walk to the main street with lots of restaurants and historical monuments.

The district is a bit abandoned with many houses in ruins. Is the sad part of the beauty of Palermo

The apartment is quite tiny but well organized. Less than five minute by step from a market and other stores. The position is really near to the Cathedral so you can visit all without use a bus or a car. The host was great to solve small problems (my fault to be honest).

There was some basic equipment missing for example trashcan bags and kitchen towel . Air conditioning is only in the bedroom so it is hard to spend time in the livingroom in the hot days

Location is very close to the city centre but not in the tourist area so you have some genuine sicilian street life with food, fish and vegetable markets etc. few steps from the house
