The internet connection could be better but nothing that have jeopardized our stay

From the welcome to the check-out, everything was perfect. The room was very spacious and immaculately clean. We spent a peaceful night without any noise or anything that could disturb our sleep. The area around the hotel is very pleasant and picturesque, from the swimming pool, to the gardens, to the small river that runs past the main building. The breakfast was well above our expectations and the lady who welcomed us in the room was extraordinary, giving us suggestions of places to visit in the city. An experience to be repeated.

A few things broken or not properly functional such as room door lock - maybe as end of season. Location wasn’t great

With restoran very bad associations. According to recomendation , we did book a table. When we order a food we have received after 2 hours!!!! The lady run a way from us when I wish asked her. Very poor orgnisation, unfortunately.

What could make our stay even greater and more memoriable - if we could find nice musical events or cultural festivals nearby. For us it was hard to find them on our own and the hotel manager, although did a research, didn’t find events for us. So our idea to improve - to monitor such concerts, event and share with the guests.

We loved restaurant manager, his care and talking to him. We loved the pool. The room was very nice and internet was working very well. The town Certaldo is very nice and we like the walk from the hotel to historical part.

My room was huge and I loved that I was able to order food from the restaurant as I was there for work. The best part was the staff, they were so lovely and friendly, it can be lonely traveling on your own so I appreciated so much their kindness

The only negative point was around the hotel being quite isolated. There are not many amenities close to the hotel. I did not have transport and taxis are not really available.

The most pleasing aspect was the service - the staff were amazing - particularly the lady who looked after the bar/food area (I believe her name was Francesca), she was constantly attentive and available. The other staff were great, but she provided quite simply the best customer service that I have ever experienced in a hotel. The rooms were modern and spotlessly clean. The aircon was very welcome; the weather was very warm outside. Would thoroughly recommend the hotel.

Issues with key cards and lighting but the hotel resolved it quickly.

Great sized bedrooms, good value for money. Small pool area but very comfortable sun loungers and separate pool towels provided. Hotel staff super helpful and breakfast great. Short walk into town, great restaurants up in the old town with fabulous views.

The toilet wasn't that comfortable, the door barely opened, there wasn't enough light in the room, the elevator didn't work well and breakfast was missing stuff as vegetables.

The receptioninst female was nice and helpful. It was good location which enabled us to travel to lot of places around.

Hotel is a bit outdated and could need some paint at the outside. I would make the set up in the garden more welcoming. Set all the tables with napkins and candles as there is potential. Nice furniture and seating. Again, Serena and Jessica as well as Francesca gave us every time a warm welcome when we came for breakfast and dinner. Thank you for that.

If I compare the price with other hotels we stayed in, the price is too high but the personnel is extremely good. Especially Francesca, Serena, Jessica and Mauro made our days really comfortable. So sweet, kind and always trying to make it better for you. We felt very welcomed by them. To management; these people deserve to stay and please, treasure those people. They are gold for this hotel. Pool was great. There was no cook so Mauro took over and tried to make the best of it.

The food was superb, complementing a fine chef. The staff especially Maurice was so helpful they even kept the restaurant open just for us one evening went we arrived back late. The weather has not been kind recently with lots of rain so the grass is longer than usual but the hotel can’t conduct the weather. All in all a lovely stay where at the staff can’t do enough for you. We had a little one with us 19 months old and he was treated like a VIP

The cleaning staff worked hard but it is still true that the bedroom carpets are showing their age

Plenty of breakfast choices and the assistant Katia went to the trouble to make me a delicious latte with a frothed hot milk and a jug of expresso on the side. The receptionist also helped find a dinner booking at a great restaurant on Monday night which is usually the “closed night” for restaurants - the highly rated L’Antica Fonte in the historic old town

The room was lovely but had a tiny shower cubicle.

Location in easy walking distance of the train station and the funicular to Certaldo Alto. The lovely Fabrizio who helped us with bookings and a wine tasting. Loved the pool and the restaurant was good too.
