Everything was perfect!

Location in the heart of one of the Sassi districts. Beautifully and sensitively renovated house maintaining its history and heritage. Memorable stay in a cave that had been transformed into a very comfortable room. Excellent staff who go the extra mile to make sure guests are comfortable and happy.

There is nothing to not like, except the water pressure, which would be the same throughout the old town - one of the vagaries of living in an ancient town.

Beautifully fit out property in a perfect location in the sassi. The attention to detail in the interiors and in the service was outstanding. Our room was large with a very comfortable bed and lovely linens. Breakfast was huge and delicious... The staff did everything they could to accommodate us. Coffee and cake upon arrival…or anytime. Detailed advice on how to explore the town…anything you needed. Truly a wonderful experience.

This hotel is really charming - it was warm, inviting, comfortable. Anne from the front desk was really helpful and friendly. I loved the breakfast too (so delicious and fresh - also filling! More in line with North American sized hotel breakfasts but Italian style). Loved this hotel - highly recommend!

We highly recommend this hotel. The location is fantastic! The staff was some of the most pleasant, kind and helpful we have encountered at any hotel we have visited throughout our travels across the world not just Italy. The room was beautiful, cozy and comfortable. I wouldn’t mind copying the bathroom at our home. Breakfast was delicious. Parking garage was nice and safe.

The breakfast was a most sophisticated way to begin the day, as it was served to each table in the elegant breakfast room, while we were entertained by a pianist. Anna booked a tour of Matera for us, which was outstanding. I believe that Renato Favilli is the name of the company, and Gaetano was our excellent guide. The room was wonderful, decorated beautifully and tastefully. The location was also ideal. Both Anne and Giuseppe were outstanding receptionists. They also booked dinner reservations for us, and could not have been more helpful or accommodating. Our stay at Corte san Pietro made our visit to Matera a highlight of our three- week trip in Italy. I highly recommend it, unequivocably.

Corte San Pietro exceeded our expectations. What a magical stay! The rooms are so well thought out with the design and comfort. The breakfast was absolutely delicious with a great variety to choose from. The best part of our stay was the friendly hospitality from the owners Fernando and Marisa. What a lovely couple. We felt as though we had known them forever and became friends. Anna and the rest of the staff are super accommodating and helpful. Anna has such knowledge of the history of Matera. This is such a wonderful boutique hotel and we can't wait to return.
