Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IndiaNothing at all, everything was fine
This is a very charming guesthouse located very close to the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Very comfortable beds, very clean, eco-friendly. There was free coffee and tea and biscuits everyday and an absolutely lovely courtyard in the back with a lemon tree and rabbits and turtles. Such a wonderful place to sit and have your coffee in the morning. Best of all is the very kind owner, Nicole who was always available on WhatsApp and always happy to help. Thank you for a lovely stay!

The Guesthouse is so beautiful and lovingly designed. Every detail is right. I have rarely had such a clean room. The garden with the animals and the great lemon tree is so idyllic. Nicole and her boyfriend are such nice hosts. You can always ask them for recommendations.

RomaniaThe only downside is a small bathroom. But this is not a problem if you are an average width person. We had no problem with it.
Everything was great and the host was very receptive and kind even if we've been late for check out. Also position is very good, 10 mins on foot untul the Lean Tower. If you come with the airplane late at night you should expect a 40 min walk or pay a taxi because there is are only a few busses.

CroatiaThis B&B is an absolute gem! Its location is perfect, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, and the cleanliness is top-notch. What sets it apart, though, is the enchanting backyard filled with around 50 adorable turtles and two charming bunnies – an unexpected delight that added a unique and utterly gorgeous touch to our stay.

United KingdomI liked everything! If I had to be very picky, the ensuite bathroom was quite small so there wasn't a big gap between the toilet and wall to get into the shower (photo attached). This didn't prove to be an issue for us and I'd be more than happy to stay there again. However, it may not be suited to everybody so is something to bear in mind, though this may have just been specific to our room.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Eco Pisa Tower Guesthouse. The location was excellent. You can see the tower from the front door and is just a few minutes walk to the tower and centre. It is also in walking distance to Pisa S. Rossore train station which was useful for our day trips to places such as Florence and the Cinque Terre as well as travelling to and from the airport. I loved the garden with the rabbits and tortoises - a beautiful little haven if you want to sit and relax. Everything was very clean and tidy and I enjoyed the rustic decor in the shared spaces. We were also very grateful for the air conditioning in the room in the summer heat, and the room was spacious. The host was wonderful - very kind and welcoming and happy to give us tips on places to visit which was much appreciated, whilst also respecting our privacy. I would have no hesitation in recommending both Eco Pisa Tower Guesthouse and a stay in Pisa which exceeded all my expectations. I would also recommend eating at We Love Pasta for lunch which we only found on the last day and wished we had found sooner. There are also plenty of bakeries around and would recommend giving cannoli and focaccia a try.
