Hotel Casolare is just five miles from Marco Polo Airport. The only problem is that if you get there by taxi there is a fixed charge of Eu 25, no negotitation.

Hotel Casolare is just five miles from Marco Polo Airport. We loved the large traditional dining room with an open fire, even though the restaurant was not open that night. The staff was very helpful and accomodating from start to finish, helped us order from a local pizza restaurant, set us up at our own table, and provided a nice local wine. Although it is near the Airport and Casino, it is a quite rural neighborhood.

It was easy to get a taxi into the airport - but expensive to get into Venice by taxi and it was too hot to walk to the bus stop and wait for the bus. The owner said we didn't ask for breakfast, but would be better if she asked the client if they required it. We arrived at mid-day to leave things so there was plenty of time.

Turned out there was no breakfast included - which I thought was. But the owner made us coffee. It was a lovely rural setting -

Bit of a bus ride in to Venice but we knew that when we booked.

Very helpful staff in arranging our stay and logistics around bicycles and transfers to the airport. Proximity to the airport is fantatsic for AM flights!

The bed sheets had some holes and the water from the shower was cold. I thought the price was a bit high for one night, but that's my opinion.

The Casolare is perfect for those planning to get to the Marco Polo airport early in the morning. This is the second time I spend the night here. The staff was great and easy to reach via phone. I had to block my credit card as it was stolen, which could have caused the cancellation of the reservation. However, the staff was understanding and let me pay with cash. Furthermore, they waited for me even if I arrived late to the Check-in due to the traffic jam caused by a massive concert that was happening nearby. They were also flexible with the Check-out and let me leave much earlier to catch the flight. And they offered to organize a taxi to pick us up in the morning. Perfect service!

10 pm curfew, lack of tea and coffee facilities, food not available. We had arrived quite late and were hungry and thirsty, couldn't even get a hot drink. No shops or restaurants within the area. We were there for 2 nights, had to travel into venice to eat, this involved 2 buses and took about 40 minutes.

I would not call this a Bed and Breakfast since we were not offered a meal. I understand that when booking, I did not pay for us to have a meal, but arriving there, I thought, it would be offered and we could then pay for at least one meal. The B&B is in the middle of nowhere (except the casino which is 1km away), but we could not buy anything. We were lucky that we had bough bus tickets beforehand to take the public transport to go to Mestre. Next time, I would book a place in Mestre which offers more option for public transport and food.

The scenery was pretty and it was quiet. The room was clean and fairly big, including the private bathroom. We were not too far from the airport, but we still had to pay for a taxi (29 euros) for a trip of barely 4km.

I highly recommend this accommodation to people who need to be close to the airport. Location, price and proximity is perfect. Unfortunately we arrived late and left early in the morning so we didn't see the local cafe. The staff was so nice to help us call a taxi to the airport (there is also a bus nearby, but it was not suitable for our flight).

There was a bright flashing light outside my window, not sure if it was a bug zapper or an alien craft zapping people up, but it was bright and annoying. Then there was the cannon fire, or what sounded like it. Probably more of the alien activities in the middle of the night woke me from a dead sleep with ear plugs in! Did not get up to investigate as I did not want to be abducted.

Location to the airport, close yet not to close. Comfy beds and easy check-in and out.

The hotel wasn't as close to the airport as we thought... only option was to pay 25 eur for a cab. Not the cleanest rooms. Beds were separated and couldnt be brought closer together which wasnt very fun.

The room was quite big. Shampoo and soap was provided.
