Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

IrelandIt's on the overly expensive side for a one star hotel... walls are very thin ... I would expect a little more attention to detail for this price but maybe I paid more as it was a last minute, late night booking. If it was around the 60 - 70euro a night mark, I'd be giving it a higher score.
Very nice staff member on reception, even though he didn't really speak English, he was very patient and willing to communicate. He also transferred my messages to the management and communication on that end was perfect. Comfortable, simple room with lots of towels and a very sweet little balcony

Relatively cheap for Milan. Clean, fairly comfortable room (although small). Friendly enough. WiFi fine. Functional if small bathroom. 15 minute walk from the station.

we spent one night in Milan. hotel Malta is in a convenient location. it is an easy 20 minute walk to Milano centrale train station. it is 2 short bus rides and a 5 minute walk if coming from Milan linate airport. the owners are very nice and helpful. there is a great cafe near the property for coffee and pastries. the bed is comfortable

Czech RepublicThe hard product was fully ok, however, I was not very happy with the customer service. During the check-in, the receptionist tried to overcharge me and tried to keep my ID. Whenever leaving the hotel, it was necessary to leave the key at the reception desk, which I did not find very safe. But the lady at the check-out was friendly.
The room itself is very good, the wi-fi was fast enough, enough sockets are available. The location is very good - 20 minutes walking to Milano Centrale, the neighbourhood seemed to be save.

SwitzerlandFor me the location. Around 500 meter walk to the nearest metro station (Loreto), if you need an elevator there isn't one. Soundproof isn't the best if you don't get lucky with other hosts.
clean, renovated, quiet, good facilities, very nice staff and a nice backyard when opening the terrace door. You have a supermarket just around the corner, public e bike to rent and a tram (depends where you are heading). A lots of shops on Corso Buenos Aires

United StatesAnna and Antonio were friendly and helpful, answering all our questions about local restaurants and public transportation. Our room was spotless with a comfortable bed. The windows opened onto Anna's beautiful garden, which was in bloom with dozens of flowers. The hotel is on a quiet one-way street and very close to a metro stop and good restaurants. We had a wonderful stay there and wouldn't hesitate to return!

AustriaThe location was perfect, not directly in the middle of the city, but close enough. (10 mintes with the metro, or a 40 minutes long walk takes you to the city centre) The staff was really nice, they took extra care of cleaning (important in Covid times). The reception is not 24/7 but the staff was very flexible about the “opening hours”, as we had to leave your keys to our room at the reception. The room is small, but very well equipped, and I loved our balcony. Everything was exceptionally clean.

Chilesaw some not-legal activities just around the corner . felt pretty unsafe . the hosts didn’t speak Spanish or English , they didn’t even try (they were very nice and attentive but language was a mayor issue ). the only one that spoke Spanish was de night guy , he was a very friendly person. the property doesn’t have an elevator . it’s a very small place
