Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

UkraineAs we booked in a hurry on the day of arrival we didn't read reviews and we chose it on the principle of closer to the centre and inexpensive price. Unfortunately a little unlucky with the room, it was very small, clearly not designed for three people and very "tired", there was no extractor in the bathroom, sockets fell out of the wall and one did not work at all, because of the old furniture, carpeting and rag wallpaper there was a smell of dampness and mould. The price is clearly overpriced for such a room. The hotel as a whole is not bad but needs renovation of rooms!
Very friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast and great coffee. The location is a 5 minute walk from the tram stop, from which by tram in 15-20 minutes you are already in Venice. Own car park.

UkraineOur room was very hot even with the air conditioner turned on. And then it got automatically turned off at 9 and it very quickly turned into a sauna. It was also a mosquito season and we got eaten by them alive even before reaching our room.
Good location, free parking onsite, good value for money.

GermanyThe breakfast was a bad experience. When you check in you are asked to choose a type of breakfast from a list and the time you would like to eat. We have opted for the focaccia menu which was not well done and tasted very blend. We have also waited more than 20 minutes after our chosen time, being just the second clients in the whole breakfast area! Other than that, there area some dried biscuits and yogurt, but nothing more. It was by far the worst breakfast experience we have had in our trip to Italy.
Nice breakfast area, reasonably spacious room. Very good location outside Venice, as the hotel is situated near the Mestre Central Station and you could reach Venice with the bus or tram in just 15 min. Parking available free of charge. Very nice and helpful woman at the front desk.

RomaniaBeware!!! The hotel-rooms do not look like the ones presented in the photos. They are similar but expect not to receive the room you paid for. The old blonde lady at the front desk did not want to help with anything and was rather rude. The rest of the stuff is professional. The bathrooms are poorly cleaned. The toilets, including the ones on the lobby, are dirty and have rust on them! We also assisted a situation where 3 people arrived to check-in at the front desk, who previously booked a double room, and then asked the property online if they can bring in a third person, receiving a positive answer, who were told upon arrival by the same old lady that this was not possible in any circumstance, which put them in a really bad position where the 3rd person was left out to look for another hotel. Considering that, I think the hotel has poor management and is not precise about the information it delivers to its guests.
We had a radio to the bedside which played really nice music and you have a speaker on the bathroom also connected to that radio.

GermanyThe hotel is very old-fashioned, and that may be a shock at first, but it is not a negative thing if you are not too picky. It is just different than modern hotels. The breakfast is not the best - you choose between sweet or savoury and they bring you bread, ham, cheese etc. Could be improved but it is okay for the price.
The location is amazing! The bus station that takes you to Venice is 5 mins by foot, and bus goes every 10 minutes. It takes you 15 minutes to Venice for only 1,5e. The Coop shop is super close, and if by car, all the other cities are also near by. The surrounding is quiet and peaceful, and there is a huge park close for running or walking. The stuff is very warm and helpful. The parking is for free, on the hotel's property, so you don't have to worry. For the price, it is more than enough if you are staying for couple of nights. The bathroom is very clean, with a lot of towels and is being cleaned daily.
