Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

It was really clean, and the host was super kind and helpful. I checked in later than the time that was showing on booking and that was no problem. The location is central but quiet, in 15 minutes you are in the city centre of Pisa and in 25/30 minutes in thè mountains or Lucca. There is a supermarket very nearby and some great pizza places

United Kingdomcould be slightly closer to amenities but no major problem for us.
pisa b&b is a homely and cosy chateau like accommodation. based in a small countryside village, 20 minute taxi ride from Pisa Centre where the train station is. The owners of Pisa hotel b&b are very welcoming and friendly, very Italian with only a small amount of English but they go out of their way to understand and communicate so it wasn't a problem. breakfast is included until 9ish but on one of the days we woke up later than this and to our surprise Daniella the host had saved us breakfast and tea and coffee for before we went out! we stayed for 3 nights, we did a lot of walking and taxis and one day got the bus but other than this no problem.

SwedenThis place is the perfect base for trips to Pisa, Lucca and Viareggio. We stayed for four nights and enjoyed the warm and homely feeling. The owners are so nice and helpful and they seem like old friends after a few seconds (wonderful conversations during breakfasts). We can truly recommend this B&B.

United KingdomNothing!
A lovely place to stay! Daniela and Paulo were delightful and welcoming, and the room was lovely. Everything is kept neat and clean, and the breakfast was excellent. They also sorted us out with where to eat locally, and where to visit on the coast and in Pisa and Lucca. There was safe parking and the room opened out on to the garden, so we could sit outside.

GermanyWhen we arrived at the B&B, the host welcomed us very friendly. We felt comfortable from the first moment. Our room had a good size and was very clean. Furthermore, it is possible to park the car on the property, which was very convenient and safe. Besides that recommendations for several restaurants and beaches in the area were provided by the host. This helped us a lot to decide where to go! A Coop is on walking distance. In addition, the B&B is located right next to Pisa and Lucca. Hence, it’s the perfect starting point to visit both cities. Overall we were more than satisfied with our stay and can just recommend this B&B! Thanks for the great time :-)

The owner was very friendly and helpful. We travelled with a car and this location is perfect! Close to the beach (Spaggia di Vecchiano) and Pisa town. During our stay we also visited Chinque Terre an Lucca town. I loved the room’s vintage style and also the fact that there was a refrigerator. Room was super clean and the property is surrounded with a fence which made me feel safe (also for the parked car). The terrace is another benefit and also that you don’t have to carry your language for a long distance because the rooms at the ground floor are accessible through the terrace. Great!! It is a great price if you compare with other accommodations near Pisa (room&breakfast). I recommend this place to all who want to have a lovely Italian experience! And the owner will really make you feel like home! :)

GermanyThe shower curtain didn’t keep the water inside the shower so the floor kept getting really wet.
I thought it was very cute. This was my first B&B and was delighted to see the cute room and the doors that open onto the terrace. The owners were very nice! My friend and I hit a lot of traffic and made a wrong turn and ended up getting there very late! The owners waited up for us to let us in anyways! They even wished us a happy Easter and gave us a package of cookies as a gift! Also, the property was enclosed so I didn’t have to worry about my dog running into the street.

BelgiumEverything is FORBIDDEN and written on A4 with upper letters everywhere. No amenities at all. Breakfast only possible from 8.30 to 9.30 with no exceptions. When I asked at least for coffee in the morning, the host told me she has her own machines and directed me to the shop across the street (by the way very nice lady there with excellent coffee, wine and all that you need). Fridge not working. Canal is missing in the bathroom. Basic, very basic rooms.I booked that place because of the nice comments but I do regret. A lot to be done there and a too expensive for what you receive back for your money
If you are with a car, everything is close. Private parking with a garden

Polandvery tiny room, very basic, TV of the size of my mobile, tiny bathroom, nothing outside, simple breakfast (but typical for Italy)
I think that the value here is the host only - very nice & helpful Lady, nothing else would actually keep us there .... Maybe should also mention location - center of the village, shop close, parking available as well.
