Difficult to regulate the temperature in the room so it was quite chilly when resting during the day without going under the covers. There was also no headboard for the bed in our room so quite difficult to read/relax before bed/on the bed.

Great location in the heart of Venice and breakfast which was provided was a great start to the day. The breakfast area is also set up very nicely. Leornado and Federico were very friendly hosts.

no fridge in the room… and lift was out of order so we had to walk up stairs to 3 stories… and shower from ceiling wasn’t working for the first day but they fix next day.

Great communication with the hoteliers. Very accommodating, helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. We were upgraded to a better room on arrival in the loft. Great room but lots of steps. Didn't bother us. I had asked prior to stay if a kettle was in the room. The answer was no but they ensured I was provided with one on arrival. They also provided teapot, milk and coffee sachets. Wonderful touch. Good breakfast, friendly staff, very clean. No complaints. Location is close to St Marks Square. Great little hotel.

Tea and coffee making facilities could have been provided in room but not essential. A bottle of water in the fridge on arrival would be welcoming.

Lovely location, quiet and only 5-10 minutes walk from major sites. Staff very friendly and helpful in recommending restaurants and sites to visit. Breakfast very good.

We had the pleasure of having the beautiful rooftop room but if you don’t like stairs stay in a lower one.

We prefer staying at smaller family run hotels as you do get a generally better service and this hotel is up there with the very very best. Beautiful hotel with a great breakfast but topped of with fantastic staff that went over and above what you would expect.

We were on the top floor when meant a lot of stairs at the end of the day with a broken lift.

We really enjoyed the hotel. The staff is nice and very helpful, the room is large, comfortable and clean, the toilet and shower are very clean. Every morning the room is tidy. One room was a little on the hot side and the duvets were too big and warm, but we opened the window for a bit, so it was fine. Breakfast cheese was Dairylea equivalent when we were hoping for lovely fresh Italian cheese, but this was a very minor issue.; generally the breakfast was good. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room would be nice.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Relais Venezia and felt well looked after by the helpful staff who were very keen to ask if they could help us with anything. The hotel decor was attractive and the rooms were lovely, with comfortable beds. The location was extremely convenient for the main sights and we did not find it difficult to locate. We would certainly recommend the hotel to others.

The whole holiday was amazing. We was very lucky with the weather and the time of year we went (February). When looking for hotels we ideally wanted somewhere close to everything. This hotel did not disappoint. The location was PERFECT. From the train bus station it was a half an hour walk (which was fine for us). The hotel itself is within a short walk to pretty much all the sights you'll have on your list, which was great when we wanted a little rest before going out and wondering around again. Before we even arrived at the hotel, we had contacted the hotel for advice about how to get to the hotel etc. and they was more then accommodating. Very polite and friendly, which helped get the trip to an amazing start. We was greeted by the door upon arrival, and shown a map of the best things to do, best places to eat. which is great knowledge, especially from a local. We was asked what we would like to have for breakfast from the list provided (as we opted for the breakfast as well, which I would highly recommend). & then was shown to our room. The room we had was more then spacious enough for two, and was very clean. We was then given some drinks and snacks, which was a bonus as we had just had a long travel in. The breakfast we had was beautiful (would highly recommend the 'Plum Cake', it was delicious!) the staff was so friendly and catering. The staff was always so helpful and just genuinely want you to enjoy Venice. Couldn't express the joy of picking this place. Everything was worth every penny, and would happily use this place again to visit Venice.

Being picky and not rating down for this...I couldn't turn the heating off which is a personal preference, everywhere was very warm that we visited. Easily solved by opening the window! Breakfast one morning we had someone else serving us and we didnt get everything we had asked and she didn't come back when we wanted to ask for another coffee, but perhaps we were earlier than most at 8.30am no one else seemed up yet.

Check in by Super Dario was fabulous. We were delayed and even though we made it in time they rang and whatsapped me to make sure we were checking in OK and if we needed out of hours. Elena at breakfast and Federico and Leonardo at various times at reception were just so welcoming. Room 301 was very big and great view. Bed was wonderfully comfy, if not on the hard side. The central location is perfect. Bit hard to find mainly because my Google maps GPS is rubbish!
