Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

MexicoThe bathroom shows some early signs of age, as the area near to the washbasing was peeling off, not ok for a room at this price point. Other than that, the place was ok.
The hotel is very well located close to the Rialto bridge in the San Polo neighborhood. An area very crowded during the day, in the nights is peaceful. Many museums, restaurants and shops are very near. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom is of a good size. Attentive staff. The breakfast is offered at staggered times, to avoid overcrowding the area. It has an elevator, which is expected at this price point.

United StatesThe shower walls/glass doors look attractive but functionally they are not good. They were hard to keep closed during a shower and we worried about putting water on the floor.
The location near the Rialto Bridge was very accessible to all the historical attractions and transpiration services (Alilaguna and Vaporetto). The breakfast was a nice touch each morning. Our room was as described. The bathroom was spacious. The staff was the star of the Hotel. Each staff member was extremely courteous and helpful.

Exactly as advertised, the hotel is right on the grand canal at Rialto, the water taxi from the airport could drop us off right outside the door. Our room overlooked the canal, just beautiful. Breakfast was continental but plentiful and delicious.

GreeceThe Riva del Vin Boutique Hotel provided us with an exceptional experience. Firstly, the location of the hotel was ideal for all our activities. Its central location offers easy access to all the city's attractions and activities. Secondly, the hotel has the best view of the Grand Canal and the Rialto Bridge and last but not least, the friendly service of the staff and the excellent breakfast, which provided an ideal start to the day. We had an outstanding stay at this beautiful hotel that left us with only positive memories. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Venice and seeking an unforgettable stay. Location is incredible. We went for Room with a view of the canal and it did not disappoint at all. We had no issue with noise as I saw on some previous reviews, the windows have outer shutters which stop the noise (which is very little) Breakfast was great selection of pastries and local foods. Location: near Rialto boat station (10 mins walk but need to cross bridge, to note if you have luggages to lug, central & easy to walk, not near main station (30 min walk) Room (room 301): good view, fairly big room (not huge, enuf for 2 pax & 2 med suitcases) Net: fast, stable & free Bfast - decent spread but need to book timing you want to go 9I guess to accommodate space on 2nd floor - there were 2 rooms at Bfast area, strongly suggest not to be assigned there to avoid AM noise Check-in: fairly quick BUT no early check-in, if you ae lucky maybe 12ish, else 1ish

Great location! Hotel room was clean, and comfortable. It was a small room, but we expected that when booking and we had no issues as we didn’t spend much time in there.
