A little noisy as the big highway is directly in the vicinity. Earplugs and sleep mask are a must!

The host was very friendly and have helped in an emergency (my ID card was stolen in Colosseum, and he accompanied me to the police station).

I liked the hospitality of the host. He is very friendly and open. The rooms are quite big and only for two, you’ll have everything you need in the room. For this price, it is a very good choice for a stay in Rome 👍🏻

You can not cook at the kitchen. But you can use the kitchenware. You have to pay to use the gas to cook anything which I was not aware of before coming. Also they have only 2 hours for check-in during the day, so it is not easy to get inside when you come outside these hours. I’d like it to be cleaner as well.

There were only 2 beds in a room, so I liked the privacy. The room was nice and well equipped.

Accommodation with spacious bedrooms, large wardrobes. Some journeys can be made on foot to the Colosseum and Termini Station, spending 30 minutes. It's good value for money.

the room was comfortable and clean. bath room also is fine. for 3-4 days it is good! it is near the Roma Termini station. you can go for a sightseeing easily by bus (7 min to walk) or use a tram in front of the hostel. Especially, I want to thank the host Savino as he helped me to catch the train (I came late to the hostel because of the traffic in Rome in 4 pm) by driving me to the station. Thank you, Savino for your help, hospitality and kindness 🙏🙏🙏

I think it was the best hostel I stayed ever. Although the location is slightly far from the city centre, the facilities was good, the room was clean, and the owner was extremely kind as well.

I expected it would be a hostel, however i found out it's an apartment in a building which didn't feel very comfortable at first, but it was fine and everything went great and it was safe.

Make pictures before and after, I never had to deal with this before but first time for everything right? Be careful putting your stuff in a common area or fridge as it always disappears … owner said to me it was other guests but I believe it was the cleaning staff who either took or put stuff in the bin …. Owner mentioned he is not responsible for anything but he does have a camera in the kitchen also, bring your toilet paper 🫥 did not receive the room I booked, upon arrival, the room I got was smaller, toiled with no lid very small noisy bathroom, and had noisy neighbours on the first night( you might be lucky depending on who is sharing the house with you). I am an honest person who does not complain at all but as the owner causes me a lot of headaches I have to be honest with other people which trying to book this accommodation, i believe the booking should review this. Also paying option by PayPal I believe do not pay by cash as it might resolve in problem described below and you will end up paying double. After the owner tried to charge extra for the damage, I asked him multiple times to provide me proof also booking have a policy that he cannot charge me without notifying me about it but no contact from the owner at all... just charge which on booking was described as a minor damage (500 eur) I needed to contact my card company and booking to resolve this for me Just saying to be careful guys with any accommodation take pictures before and after ... have PROOF!

The owner promised to check in earlier, but as a result, check-in took place at 7 pm. He couldn’t meet me on the street, but he simply tried to correct me over the phone, but it was hard for me to do this because there was a bad connection. It is impossible to understand from the photos that you have how much space you will have, but there is very little space. The bathroom was in poor condition, and the toilet didn't even have a lid. It was also necessary to pay in cash upon check-in since payment in booking is a refundable amount, which was returned only 1-2 weeks after departure. I give a rating of 2, not 1, because the owner allowed me to pick up the bags a few hours later after check-out. (p.s. the owner asked me to leave a 10 review for this...)

First of all it was very dirty, especially the bathroom, also the shower was not working properly, it was impossible to take shower. I asked the owner to fix it he said he will, but never did! The sheets and the towels were smelling of bleach. The property was shared apartment, some of the rooms with private bathroom, some with shared bathroom. I booked a room with private bathroom, but at the time of the check in the owner said “ You have booked room with shared bathroom but I will make an exception for you and will give you with room private bathroom ” which made me feel very stupid and angry! The main thing that made me book this property was the possibility for late check in, which was ok, and the option to have private bathroom. But in conclusion I would like to say that it doesn’t cost the money, it’s very expensive for what it is and what you get, it looks like free accommodation for homeless people!!!

The only thing that I liked there was that the location was good!

The staff. He asked me to rate 10 so that I could get 8€ discount, but it doesn’t make any sense after being yelled at phone when I asked him to take the fee in person (he told me to put the money on the table at common space, which seemed ridiculous to me. I was just worrying someone might take it before he arrived ). Eventually I managed to hand it to him in person but more or less it disappointed me. The way he does things seemed sloppy to me everytime.

Our experience with this place are really really poor. be ready for appropriate contincent in this place. Area of the house are dirty, full of trash. apartments inside are ok,looks clean,bathroom are bad, broken. bathroom are full of black spots (mold). Our stay was poor, due there were are a contingent of people, who are making party, drinking, and smoking inside of the room, which smoke goes also to our room. Be ready that your sleep will depends from your neigbhours due to very bad sound insulation. Luckily, host tried to solve problems and make neigbhours to calm down. Anyway, when, neigbhours goes to wc, they was slamping the toilet doors in the middle of night, so we cant sleep normaly. During 3 nights we haven't had a good sleep Location is ok, different public transport are nearby the apartments. Host ok, try to help, always apologizes, trying also to solve the problems, acceptable but to the opinion of this place it doesn’t affected a lot, unfortunately. Be ready to pay cash, or paypal, because others way are not acceptable- for some not understandable reasons. When we arrived in the place, host informed, that his bank account is blocked and we must pay by cash or paypal full ammount one more time and he will return the payment, charged by booking.com. And next few days we was worring if we get our money back. But after few days we get it.

Apartment Scala is within walking distance of Termini and Tiburtina Station. There is a supermarket nearby, which is open even on Sunday. The windows of the room overlook the courtyard, so the room is quiet at night. The room has a private bathroom. The owner is very friendly, and his dog is very nice.
